Q. Im building a new computer for light gaming and personal use, and Im not sure why I would get a $500 version of Windows 7 ultimate as compared to $100 for home premium. So is there a reason to get a more expensive version in my case when all I'll be doing is some gaming and storing movies/pictures?
A. Well if you want to install Windows 7 just for home use and if all of the games you play are compatible with windows 7, the Home Premium edition should do the job.
I mentioned compatibility because Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate let you install Windows XP Mode (available at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx ) which is a virtual Windows XP machine that lets you run XP-compatible programs even if they do not work with Backward Compatibility (Refers to running a program not compatible with Windows 7 in a compatibility mode of an older version of windows. Works for most programs). You can open a program in this mode by right clicking its icon, clicking Troubleshoot Compatibility and following the wizard.

Will this computer work for light gaming?
Q. I'm looking for a computer to use mostly for light gaming, but without spending a ton of money on. I don't play any high demanding games. Instead I mostly play the Total War games. I found a Toshiba L755D-S5218 for $479.99 at Best Buy. Here are the specs:
-AMD Quad-Core A6 processor (2.3GHz)
-4GB RAM
-320GB hard drive
-Radeon HD 6520G graphics card
Will this computer run these type of games? Is the graphics card any good?
