Q. I'm planning on buying the m14x it's 1500 dollars. Should i buy it or will buying a really cheap laptop then customizing it exactly like the m14x or close to it be better?
A. Considering you would need a few million to set up an injection molding machine, hire a computer design engineer and have him spend a year laying out a motherboard, etc, etc, etc to build your own laptop, I'd say it isn't a worthwhile investment.
With a $1500 budget what parts should I use to make my own desktop?
Q. I just wanted to see other peoples opinions of what they would do with 1500 dollars. The computer I want to build will be mostly for gaming.
A. I always recommend that your first PC build use an established design from
a professional. There are many cost/performance trade offs & you're
unlikely to come up w/a better design on your own. I've provided 2 links
below: the 1st is a how-to article on building a PC from scratch & the 2nd
has 3 gaming builds for different budgets.
