Q. Well i'm looking to buy a great gaming computer that can handle most games on max settings and my budget is probably a max of $750-$800 but id really prefer to stay at or under $700 and even though that might not be much I want to know whats the best i can get with that, and also if you say build your own i'm not exactly sure how to so even if i had the parts i wouldn't know what to do
Also if your going to say "you cant get much with that budget" well I'm asking whats the BEST i can get with THAT budget and if you say "build you own" can u give me links to understand how to build my own and whats parts the buy?

A. Wow all these people don't know how to make a good computer cheap.
Ill help you make a cheap and powerful computer.
Firstly to make a good Gaming computer that can play top of the line
graphics we need to have a good GPU, and all thats needed to make the game
run smooth is 4 cores. so we will sacrafic a bit of CPU for a more powerful GPU.
I will do an AMD build because it is cheaper.

I hope I helped you. BTW order the Motherboard and CPU first before you order the memory to make sure the memory/RAM is completely compatible with the board. Im quite sure it is but ASUS can be fishy when it comes to RAM sometimes.
I encourage you to look up alot of sites on how exactly to build and install a CPU, Motherboard, the Fan, and how how all the parts fit together. BTW this Motherboard is highly upgradeable when you learn more about computers so it is a good start. Be safe and find out how to build it.

Computer questions + motherboard?
Q. Hey guys, first time computer builder here. I have questions on my build and a motherboard since i have no idea which to get.
My build so far:
CPU - Intel i7 2600k
RAM - Corsair vengeance DDR3 16gb
Sound card - Creative PCI SB 5.1 XFI xtreme
Optical drive - Lite-on Internal Blu-ray
Case - Cooler Master HAF 912
Power supply - Corsair cx600 600-watt
OS - Windows 7
Keyboard - Logitech G510 game keyboard
Mouse - Cyborg R.A.T 3
As you can tell im missing the:
Motherboard
Video card
Hard drive
Speaker
Monitor
Im just asking for a good motherboard and whether the build will work altogether. I really want an ssd hard drive so if you're going to suggest one keep that im mind :). The main thing im asking for is help on if the build will work and which motherboard is good priced and fits. Also another thing I currently own the dell xps 420, im willing to tear it apart to make this thing cheaper so please help me on whether i should use its video card, motherboard, etc
******* This is just more questions and information if you have spare time *******
Im buying the; cpu, sound card , case, power supply and keyboard at MSY, by the way i live in australia and will be traveling between Sydney and Brisbane in the next few weeks, i would like to buy parts from stores unless you see a really good deal from a trusted site. by the way for the things im buying at msy its already around $670 and i really dont want to go over 1500, should be alright but all i want is a fairly good gaming comp at a good price, you can edit things from my build i can change them no prob.
Im having problems finding out what mouse i want, im sure of getting the cyborg RAT (3,4,5,6,7,8,9) but i dont see the real difference between them, i might just stick with 3, unless you think otherwise.
Just a few preferred things:
Led monitor
SSD hard drive
Cyborg Rat mouse
intel i7
8+ gb ram
cooler master HAF 912 case
windows 7
But remember i will change if its getting to costly or if it just wont go together.
I know this is starting to sound like a Christmas wish list but really thanks for helping ... i will be checking very often and make changes if i see a good one.
Thanks a ton

A. When building a computer, always work from the motherboard up. The type of motherboard you get will determine what kind of hardware you can stick into it. Unfortunately, I'm a terrible teacher, so that tidbit is all I'm going to be able to provide XD Sorry, but good luck.
