Best Computer for Video Editing and Gaming?
Q. i was thinking of getting an imac 2011 21.5" What makes a computer run smoother and faster? is it the kind of processor it has? also i need a good graphics card i hear those gtx radion 590 things are pretty good lol ( i don't have clue really.) i'm mainly looking to save up to get a computer that can handle
*Alot of photo/video editing on a canon rebel t3i DSLR camera and Battlefield 3 type Gaming*
i plan on using magic bullet software, adobe after effects and final cut pro x or other software.
problem i have with my current MacBook is that it crashes and freezes when ever i try to edit a video on adobe. and also i would like to be able to play battlefield 3 on it with high-ultra settings?
what about if i was just using it for video editing then and not gaming?
ok i understand a mac is not a great idea then so what type of PC's then? and what about the type of processor and graphics cards i need?
thanks Alex its tough to get people to throw out there opinions on here!

A. A Mac is amazing for video editing, but terrible for gaming.
A Windows based PC Excels at gaming, and is still pretty good for video editing - Windows PCs are also considerably cheaper and can be upgraded. For these reasons, I'd suggest you avoid Macs.
For your needs, I'd suggest you look for a strong CPU such as an Intel i5 + along with atleast 4GB of ram.
The most important part would be the GPU, depending on how much you edit videos you may wish to consider running two Graphics Cards through SLI (If this is the case, I would suggest something around an Nvidia GTX 560 or similar). However, for standalone gaming a GTX 460 would also be a good choice.
I hope I've given you a few ideas.
