Looking for gaming computer under $700?

Q. I am looking for a desktop or laptop under $700. I don't mind building it, but I think I might only do that if it's a kit that comes with all the parts. I plan on using it almost entirely for gaming, since I am upgrading form a HP Pavilion dv4t-1600. I only have minimum requirements of 4-6gb ram and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 250 or ATI Radeon 4890, and a cas similar to the NZXT Guardian Blue.

I have already looked and have found a few but I want to find one with high performance but low price. Thank you.

A. These days you can get good laptops for less than $700 at the N e w e g g website.

Just look for those with the AMD "A6" processors. Those are really cost-effective because they include a 4-core CPU and a great Radeon Graphics chip in one die, which makes them good for games.

And at that level of price you will find them with 6GB of RAM and 500+ GB hard drives.

gaming computer builds under 700?

Q. I want to build a nice gaming desktop under 700 I have a keyboard and mouse but dont have an os I do not have a monitor but I can get a cheap monitor off ebay or use the hdmi on my tv

A. Building a computer turns out to be way cheaper. Go on newegg and look up parts. If you have no clue how to build a rig, just Google it and I'm sure articles will pop up. Many websites offer help on building them.As for O.S. if it really is that big of an issue to spend a little extra money on it, you could always torrent it. Good luck!

What would be good gaming computer parts for under $700?

Q. Alright so I really would like to build my own gaming pc that can run amazing games at little to no lag for under $700. Does anyone have any ideas on what parts I should use (ps I already bought the DVD drive an I still need a monitor, keyboard, and mouse)? Thanks in advance.

A. Well for one thing, try to spend as much as possible of your 700 bucks on the core components: video card, processor, memory, motherboard and power supply. Get everything else as cheaply as you possibly can.

And by cheap I mean, get them for free if possible. Like for example if you've got an old computer, get them out of that.

Beyond that it's a matter of shopping. Just get everything at newegg.

I like to get all intel and nvidia stuff, but you might get a budget system going for less with amd. I'll let somebody else advise you on that.

What is the best computer for video editing and playing games that under $700 I want a desktop! Thanks?

Q. Ok i want a computer for X-mas and i want it to edit video and play games, it has to be under $700 and it needs to have lots of space Thanks and ill pick a best answer.

A. Build your own, check out the AMD Phenom II X3 720 for about $120. It's a 2.8GHz tri-core processor that can easily be overclocked due to the unlocked multiplier.
Get 4GB of DDR3 RAM, you shouldn't really need any more than that.
Look for any motherboard really, you don't need anything fancy and can save some money here. Look at reliable brands like Asus, Gigabyte, ASRock, and anything with a really high user rating.
Get an HD4870 for about $150, it'll max out anything you could possibly want at 1680x1050 and run everything near-perfect at 1920x1080.
Finally, make sure to get a 550-600 watt power supply to run all this, preferably from somebody like Corsair or Antec to get the best quality/price deal (although OCZ is a good brand too, look for high ratings that aren't Rosewill or Sunbeam).
If you already have a monitor to hold you over for a while, wait for a bit on that to save money (critical here, otherwise your computer won't be as good).
If you're lucky, you'll also have a hard drive and an OS (check if it's retail or OEM, go to Control Panel-System and see if it says OEM under who it's registered to or if it has a bunch of numbers, OEM means you can't reuse it on a new motherboard).
If you have to get a new hard drive, go for 1TB, it'll last forever and give you the best bang for your buck.
If you need to get a new OS, it'll cost a bit more for the whole thing than $700, but it'll be worth it in the end (kick in some of your own money to help pay for it).

I have attached a Newegg.com wishlist (shop there) for a good build for you. It does not include an OS or a monitor. It's $630 before taxes and mail-in rebates, and $605 before taxes but after the rebates. If you want to upgrade due to the extra price room, simply change the processor to the AMD Phenom II X4 955 for an extra $45. When you eventually do buy a monitor, make sure it is 1920x1080 compatible, you can get them for $150 and they are about 22 inches.

Can i build a good gaming computer for under say 700 dollars?

Q. Well not necessarily a strict gaming computer, I really want it so i can stream in HD to twitch.tv. I have an elgato cap card but my computer isnt good enough to stream. So would it be possible for me to build one for under 700 or so that could stream how i want it to?

what is the best deal i can get on a new desktop for under $700?
Q. im looking for a new desktop with the most memory, the best processor, etc. im not planning on using this computer for gaming, however i would prefer the computer to have Microsoft XP, and programs such as Office and excell. the price range im aiming for is under $700

A. You can get a very good PC for that money. However, you aren't going to find a brand nw PC with XP. XP no longer comes pre-installed on new models. Don't be afraid of Vista
especially if you're only going by here-say and not from actual experience with Vista. Vista has improved imensely since it was introduced. I wouldn't own a PC without it! I haven't had any problems at all.
I just bought an HP at Circuit City and they had all kinds of desktops for $700.00 or less. The staff at the store I went to was extremely helpful yet, not pushy.
Here is a whole page under $600.00:

Can somebody show me a good completely built computer on newegg?

Q. I need a computer that would play games like skyrim battlefield and arma2, it must be under $700 and it needs to be COMPLETE with operating system, graphics card, and a decent CPU.

A. Your best bet is a Fusion Vision-series APU(A10 is the best at a moderately priced 100), the graphics unit on that can hold you until you save up enough to get a real graphics card(A10 is unique in that it's GPU is both integrated and discrete, it's also a quad core).

Then get a GOOD motherboard, a GOOD power supply, and good RAM, RAM doesn't matter nearly as much as the other two, I'd reccomend 8GB of 1333MHz if you have a tight budget, or even 4/6GB if it's that tight. I see too many people over invest on GPU/Processor and just gimp everything else, not understanding it hurts them in the long run(bad motherboards severely limit expansion and bad power supplies can suddenly fail, causing permanent and irreversible damage to other components, there's even stories of them catching fire!

For motherboard get an ASRock Extreme/Professional series or for ASUS get either a P8277/Formula IV AM3+, they're all around 125-200 dollars but their future proof value is invaluable.

For Power supply get at least 650W certified to at least bronze level, such as an Antec EarthGreen, etc.

When you do get enough money for a good GPU get an ASUS 7770 GHz edition, at that price point AMD quite frankly beats out Nvidia, especially in specialized cards(GHz, Classified, etc).

Good luck!
