When will this gadget/ game come into reality?

Q. a game that you can feel some of things in the game that happens to the character that you play also that you are the character personally and control everything that the character does physically, mentally, and verbally. for example, you can be a wolf and do everything a wolf does.

please and thank you!!

A. Well you are in luck!

Programmers in Australia are currently developing a headset that will let you control the computer with your "thoughts" they have been running trials in Sydney over the last 12 months and this innovative product should be on shelves by the end of 2012 with an approximate RRP of $300.00

I want to make a gaming computer. Parts advice? 10 Points.?
Q. I want a $1000 budget on everything in the computer, including case. It has to be easily accessible inside so I can get to stuff and swap things in and out. It has to include everything I need for playing games from a disk, and preferably a WLan card or something too for games I have on Steam. Also a $500 budget on everything else to go with the computer, such as keyboard, mouse, speakers, headset.

It has to be able to run games like BF3 and be capable of playing any MMORPG.

I like pccsegear.com because it is an Australian site. Any other Australian websites are good as well, or computer stores in the Newcastle, NSW area. I do like newegg.com, but I will NOT be using that or any foreign websites because of shipping costs and some other reasons.

This is also my first time building a computer, and even owning anything other than a laptop, so if you could direct me to a site that will help me actually build it that would be great.

This might be a lot to ask, but 10 points best answer :)

All help is greatly appreciated. Maybe also if you could direct me to some place where I could learn more about these parts and what the specs of parts actually mean and how they differentiate from others. Thanks :)

A. I am doing something similar to you, so I won't get the 10 points, but I'd recommend a business known as msy computers that are Australian for purchasing the parts. They allow you to check if parts are in stock online and then you can pick them up, they usually have everything very cheap, and their range is fair. The only catch is they have virtually no customer service, you go in there and tell them what you want and then the person goes and gets it for you. If you can find that store nearby to you I'd recommend it, they're pretty common over here in SA.

Also from what I'm gathering from research it would be a good idea to go with an ivy bridge intel processor and a motherboard. Youtube and Google how to build computers and stuff, there were a very nice tutorials which I found helpful in learning how to build them.

£400 budget for gaming computer?

Q. Can I get a decent gaming computer monitor and keyboard for £400? I don't need a high end one, but it would need to play most games, what kind of game is the boundary for this budget... Battlefield 4 or minesweeper? Please be reasonable and not just say I Need a budget or £1000. I don't mind second hand as long as there isn't a risk...also a link would get you best answer

A. build it yourself is the way to go so it will come true, a gaming PC including a monitor and keyboard & mouse.

here's the parts list
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2UvH9

I can't guarantee if Amazon still sells that 23 inch monitor for £69.91 but on their homepage they claim that 20 of them are in stock.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0046W0RVU/?tag=pcp0f-21

as the operating system I suggest to get a free Linux based one
http://zorin-os.com/index.html
quote from Zorin Linux:
"The Look Changer lets you change your desktop to look and act like either Windows 7, XP, Vista"

the most demanding games that can be played would be Skyrim, Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 on high, Battlefield 4 on low/medium settings.

Gaming Computer Under $400 (nobuild)?
Q.

A. Recommended Requirements for crysis

CPU: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better
RAM: 1.5GB
Video Card: NVIDIA 7800 Series, ATI Radeon 1800 Series or better
VRAM: 512MB of Graphics Memory
Storage: 12GB
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
ODD: DVD-ROM
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10

this would be recommended requirements... (not the minimum)

you will not likely find a gaming system under $400 unless it's used
however building one is your best option for what you are looking to spend...

(this does not include monitor keyboard mouse)I assume most people have these laying around i know i do

PowerUp ATX Black Mid-Tower Case with Clear Side, Front USB and Audio Ports and 450-Watt Power Supply.....49.99

Ill help you make a cheap and powerful computer.
Firstly to make a good Gaming computer that can play top of the line

I hope I helped you. BTW order the Motherboard and CPU first before you order the memory to make sure the memory/RAM is completely compatible with the board. Im quite sure it is but ASUS can be fishy when it comes to RAM sometimes.

I encourage you to look up alot of sites on how exactly to build and install a CPU, Motherboard, the Fan, and how how all the parts fit together. BTW this Motherboard is highly upgradeable when you learn more about computers so it is a good start. Be safe and find out how to build it.

Is the Lenovo - Desktop a good enough computer to play wow and other games?
Q. This is a duel or tri question in one sitting! So I am looking into buying a computer. It needs to be able to play wow and any future games I decide to buy!! I have to buy it from Best Buy though. I have my mind set on this one:
Lenovo - Desktop / Intel® Core i5 Processor / 6GB Memory / 1TB Hard Drive
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Lenovo+-+Desktop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i5+Processor+/+6GB+Memory+/+1TB+Hard+Drive/1972671.p?id=1218303653042&skuId=1972671

It comes with an Intel HD graphics card. Is this a good enough card to produce great graphics for wow and others? If not, I am looking at a card no more than $100, it must be from Best Buy, and could be installed by a person there (it is compatibale with the model stated above). I guess the recommened one to have is 64 mb 3d. Anything higher than that I suppose. Please answer at least one of my questions! I am looking to build a computer in the future, but not for this model!

-Thanks
magicless ^***

A. >Lenovo has quite a good reputation, especially with laptop computers - but integrated graphics sucks big time and won't do you any good on gaming - so you HAVE to buy a video card. And by the way, there is no such thing as buying hardware today that will play ANY GAME tomorrow - it just doesn't work like that. Tomorrow they make a game with requirements that exceeds your hardware today, and that is that! Period.

As far as $100 is concerned, that is not enough to really buy a middle of the road GPU. Anything less than about $125 is bottom of the line unless you buy something that is a lot older. For around the price you are talking about, this would go back about 2 - 3 years, with something like the ATI HD 4850 or HD 4870 cards, which at the time, were much better than nVidia's GTX 260 card. The reason was the single monolithic size and dye size of the gpu on the GTX card which ran hotter than its ATI counterpart. The 4870 card is still an excellent card and is capable of playing Crysis on High settings - but may not be good enough for Crysis II which should be coming out shortly - so just be aware that in order to get a "good" graphics card at the price you are willing to pay, you will have to get an older model card. Other older cards that might work are the nVidia 9800 GTX overclocked card, but I would not spend money on any other model BELOW the 9800 GTX class. There are a plethora of lower cards that are no good for current gaming...so don't waste money on them. I doubt best buy will have these older cards - but you may still be able to purchase one on the internet at Newegg or Tiger Direct for about the price you have stated - just realize, these cards are dated and may not run all the latest DirectX requirements and Net Framework that games rely so heavily upon.

If the reason WHY you just have to have Best Buy install it is because of warranty concerns, then you can buy the card on the net and have Best Buy install it for you so you don't violate warranty conditions. If you are afraid to install the card yourself, let's just say, its one of the easiest things you can do with a computer upgrade. Check with Best Buy and see if they would be willing to install a card you bought elsewhere - I bet they say yes.

Computer Monitors?

Q. I have a computer that is about 4 years old (yes i need to buy a new one). I am an avid video gamer, but not on my PC, but on my Xbox 360. I was wondering if there are companies that make a high quality computer monitor that doubles as a Small HDTV. (Preferrably under 1000 dead presidents)

A. If you want a computer monitor that can double as a small HDTV, then you want to look for an LCD panel that has HDMI inputs.

Newegg has a KDS 26" LCD with HDMI at $419: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824155056

Dell is selling a Samsung 26" with HDMI for $685: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Monitors/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A1500995

Both do 1920x1200 resolution for your computer. Personally I'd go with the Samsung.

26" monitors seem to be your best bet.. I'd love to recommend a 30" for you, but those cost way over 1000 dead presidents (especially for the ones with HDMI) so that's probably out of the question. :-P

Connect xbox 360 to computer monitor and to a tv for gaming?
Q. I have my xbox hooked up to my computer monitor since i play FPS with KB/M setup thanks to the Xim3. I wanted to hook up the xbox also to a tv since i play alot of sports games with my friends and we sit around the couch. Can i have it hooked to both and alternate what screen I am going to use. Like for FPS sitting at my desk i use monitor than buddies come over for some NHL2011 I can just switch it to play on the 52 inch TV? Thanks

A. Of course you can. The XBox 360's HDMI port will work with either HDTVs or monitors equipped with HDMI.

The XBox 360 HDAV VGA cable will also work with HDTVs equipped with an VGA jack as well as all standard VGA-jack-equipped computer monitors.

League of legends computer build?

Q. Basically I'm new to this computer stuff and I don't trust myself picking the parts
I'm looking for a cheap gaming computer build that will run league of legends on high not including monitor mouse etc

A. How cheap are you going to go? If you're thinking of a budget under $500, you can build a really nice computer that will run all sorts of games on high. To build a computer, you're going to need: motherboard, graphics card, RAM, CPU, case and a power supply.

Budget = $500

Case = Arctic Cooling
Silentium T11 Mid Tower Case, Black
$40

Motherboard = H81M-C/CSM w/ Dual DDR 1600, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit LAN, DVI, D-Sub
$70

CPU = Core i3-4330 Processor, 3.50GHz w/ 4MB Cache
$160

Video Card (Graphics Card) = HD 6570 Radeon HD 6570 2GB DDR3 PCI-E w/ VGA, DVI, HDMI
$75

RAM (Memory) = RipjawsX Series 4GB PC3-10666 Dual Channel DDR3 Kit (2 x 2GB)
$53

Power Supply = Builder Series CX430 430W Power Supply
$55

Total = About $453

If you're still wondering, and willing to put more money into the computer, or you have a smaller budget, just email me at andrewchung1998@yahoo.ca , and I'll answer all you're questions and change the rig up.

desktop computers under $500 that are really good for gaming?

Q. Just wondering if anyone knows any good computers (just the tower) that have good specs and such for somewhat heavy gaming? aswell as video editing? I dont know too much about computers so advice would be appreciated! thanks!

A. You have two options here....

option 1) buy a cheap brand-name destop and replace the graphics card. This works surprising well since most games don't need the latest and greatest processors (expensive processors are for multitasking not gaming) A dell inspiron 570 with a radeon 5670 would come in at 350+80=430. Add tax and your at around 450-500. This setup would be able to play games like starcraft 2, skyrim, elder scrolls, WOW, ext on medium-high with good framerates. It would be very easy to set up, installing a graphics card is just like installing memory. You open up your case and hook it up to the motherboards PCIexpress x16 slot. It takes less than a minute.

option 2) build you own from scratch. This is easier than it sounds. heres a good build for you....

processor -- i3 2100
motherboard -- Intel DH55TC
memory / ram -- 4gb corsair 1333 Mhz
Graphics card -- AMD 6770
Harddisc -- 500gb seagate at 7200 rpm
PSU -- Cooler Master GX 550 w
Case -- Cooler Master elite 430 ATX
Speakers -- Creative 2.1 speakers
keyboard n mouse -- Logitech MK200 combo
dvd burner -- Samsung 24x optical
UPS -- V guard 600VA

the total here would be around 500. It would preform better than the brand name+graphics card but it also is more complicated and would require some electronics knowledge that you may or may not have. This could game much better and would be able to play all the abovementioned games on high.

Good computer for gaming under $500?
Q. I need to help finding a good computer capable of gaming for around $500... The only requirment that I need is 1 or more gb of video ram, so I can run modern games at at least medium settings...

Thank you

A. You should build the computer. It may be overwhelming but it's worth it. Building it will get you such better specs than buying a made one. But yet, if you are to lazy, this would probably be the computer I would get if I didn't build them.

Link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227477

I know the computer is $30 over your budget but this computer is great for it's price. And it's currently on sale. This should not disappoint you. This can probably run your classic Call of Duties, Elder Scrolls, and Need For Speed at medium graphics with a 40 - 60 fps. Possibly even better.

And if that's not good enough you can always upgrade the processor, and overclock whenever. I would recommend a AMD FX 8350. But I don't know the motherboard's socket type.

If that thirty dollars is to much for you to pay than get this one instead -

Good luck with your computer and your gaming. (Build One!)

Should i get video games even though my sister told me to get computer games?

Q. I ve always wanted video games wen my sisters were around but never need it. now my sisters went to college and im alone with my parents and granparnets. i really want vidoe games but my sisters tell me my parents are to cheeap to buy me new games everytime i want them? wat should i do

A. Computer games are video games...

BTW, I would suggest getting a system, rather then getting PC games... PC gaming is an even more expensive hobby then console gaming, as you need a good system to run the games to begin with and every couple of years you NEED (not have) to upgrade your system...

Where as the longevity in a modern console is about 5-6 years before a new system is released.... An upgrade to a PC can top 500 easily, if you want better then decent-really good hardware... Where as a console costs about 300..

Gaming computer components also aren't designed for long lasting life... They're designed for power, and the more power an electronic uses/generates, the more heat it generates, and heat is the enemy to electronics, it reduces overall life... That is why people invest in beefy cooling systems for their high end gaming rigs.

If your parents are trying to convince you to stick to PC games for the cheapness aspect, make sure you tell them the above, the overall cheaper route is consoles, PC gaming is better left to serious gamers with money to burn.

Can this computer handle modern video games?
Q. I'm talking games like Skyrim, Dragon Age, Dishonored, LEGO games, Diablo III, Assassin's Creed III and more. I looked up the specs and it seems like it'll run the games but I don't know for sure. Any thoughts?

Here's the link to the computer: http://h20386.www2.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=C3T59EA&opt=ABU&sel=PCDT

A. The Processor is slow(1.4ghz), Mine is 2.8ghz.
And the Video card is not that great, very weak card for gaming standards today
and Windows 8...Dont pick windows 8, Its meant for tablets.Id stick with Windows 7...
I recommend not getting this one if you are into gaming,
If you are gonna buy a PC you might as well build it yourself, so you'll know exactly what your new computer can do...and its cheaper..atleast mine is, Only took me 18,000 Pesos(Phillipine Money)

Why does my computer shuts down whenever i play video games? PLz help

Q. I checked these issues so maybe they were the problem, but they weren't:
1) i used EST anti virus and scanned full system scan, and i didn't find any viruses.
2) i scanned with registry error finder program to find my errors in my computer, but the problem continued.
3) My fan works perfectly fine, without making any noise
4) i used blow and sucking option to get the dust out of my computer
5)i have every required system better that the minimum .
6) and i have been playing this game for a year, and this problem started suddenly.
7) i right clicked and selected the compability and checked all the windows, none of them resolved my problem.
8) i also deleted some of my unwanted programs to free up some space.
i got about 220 GB free at drive C/
and my computer ram is 3071, which i dont know if it good or bad, but it is way much more than the recommemded system for the game
now, please tell me how can i fix this problem?

A. now does the computer shut down or does the monitor shut off but the power light is still on on your tower? if it is the monitor shutting off i had the same problem... first check your connections on your vid card. i assume since you have such a good setup you dont have integrated. if everything checks out connection wise on your vid card... it might be your vid card itself. download this tester to check http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/System_Analysis_Utilities/Video_Card_Stability_Test_Download.html
if it doesn't check out then you prolly overworked your vid card and need a new one. and if all that checks out then i am at a loss as you are. i bought a newer and better vid card and havent had a problem since... i also dont game as much as i used to... i would average 5-7 hours non-stop gaming a night... which is not good on it... and overworked it. hope this helps

1tb Samsung spin point f1 hardrive as well

A. the computer is good in general but i have to say this will not play modern warfare or gta 4 very well [at least not on high settings] cuz the 5770 is a low end gaming card and neither of these games have major benefits from having two cards. sure it looks cool to have a crossfire dual card setup but the games you play are not gonna see any difference so i recommend you get ONE 5850/5870 instead of getting two 5770s - the games will really benefit, your parts will stay cool, and your computer will use less juice
also you dont need the network cad cuz the feature is already built-in on your motherboard
the psu however is great - you should stick with it cuz you shouldnt compromise on the thing which provides power to your components and so even after a few years that will still stay strong and you might even be able to go tri-fire or tri-sli with it :)
p,s, if you dont believe that two cards wont help with ga iv, watch this vid - this guy is a guru in the graphics department and compares his old 5870 to his new 5970 [essentially 5870x2] and sees a DROP in performance. crysis, however, will benefit from two cards but it will still run better with one good card instead of two average ones.

Best Gaming Rig Possible 2011?

Q. I'm creating the best gaming computer possible for 2011 my budget is $15,000 I'm sure i can afford anything.

at this moment my specs are:

CPU: Intel Core i7 990X Extreme Edition, 3.46GHz (3.73GHz Turbo), 6 CORE, 12MB CACHE, LGA1366

GPU: Asus Nvidia ENGTX5802DI1536MD5 GTX580, 1536MB GDDR5, 782Mhz, 2x DVI, mini-HDMI, PCIE2.0, DX11

MOBO: Asus CROSSHAIR-IV FORMULA AMD Mainboard - 4x DDR3 / 6x Sata Raid / Gigabit Lan / AM3

RAM: Corsair DDR3 24GB (6x Dominator 4GB) 1600MHz CL 9 with Corsair Airflow II Fan (CMP24GX3M6A1600C9)

Optical Drive: Lite-On SATA Blu-Ray & DVD/CD Writer (12x Blu-Ray Write/ 20x DVDRW/ 48x CDRW) - Black

HDD: Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB 10000RPM 32MB SATA 6Gbs

Case: Thermaltake Level 10 - Black Full Tower (No PSU)

Cooling: Noctua NH-D14 All-In-One Extreme Performance CPU Cooler

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 1500W ATX Power Supply with Cable Management SLI & EPS support

OTHER SPECS:

Speakers: Logitech Z5500D 5.1 THX Speakers

Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium PCIE Fatal1ty Champ Series - Gaming X-Fi I/O drive included

Keyboard: Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard USB

Mouse: Logitech G9X Laser Gaming Mouse

Monitor: Samsung 27" P2770HD ROSE-BLACK LCD - 5MS / WUXGA 1920x1080 / DTV-TUNER / D-SUB / DVI / HDMI / AV / SP

all up is $6,000+ which is a lot but i don't mind.

A. Pointless overkill
Games are just now starting to use quad core so that 990x is a waste for gaming
Most games barely use 4GB of ram so 24GB for gaming is a waste
A SSD would be a better investment then the VelociRaptor
Unless you're planning on running 4 GTX580s that 1500w PSU is a waste
The Noctura i find to be just silly when you're spending $6,000 on a system with 1.6 of it just going to the CPU, spending that much money might as well go watercooled especially if you plan on overclocking
I don't see the point in getting a 27" monitor if the res is no higher then 1080p which most 22" monitors can do

This is nowhere near being the best possible rig for now and some of it is pointless for gaming

Cheapest computer build that can run Skyrim or BF3 on ultra?
Q. I know nothing about building computers. All I know is I want to run big games on a larger sized monitor with no lag. I have the mouse and keyboard. No speakers though. Thanks :)

A. well garret, I will help you paraphrase your question since cheap and gaming computer are actually like oil and water, they cannot be mixed together.

What you want to know is the least expensive gaming PC that can max out BF3 on 1080p, am I correct???

well, The lowest card that can let you play BF3 on max settings on 1080p is the GTX 560 ti with an AVE FPS of 31.8:

http://bf3nation.com/2011/10/battlefield-3-graphic-card-benchmarks-from-580570-gtx-to-radeon-hd-69706900/

But if you wanted to have a smoother gameplay, then the lowest would be a GTX 560 ti 448 cores.

So I'll just give you this example of a build that can max out all games on 1080p including BF3:

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I52500K - $225

GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - $115

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL - $47

Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive - $86

EVGA 012-P3-2066-KR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 448 Cores FTW 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - $270 ($250 after rebate)

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850M 850W ATX12V v2.31 / EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular High Performance Power Supply - $130 ($115 after rebate)

COOLER MASTER HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 Black SECC/ ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $60 ($50 after rebate)

LITE-ON Internal 24x DVD-Writer 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM Black SATA Model iHAS324-99 - $22

inland 70126 Black 107 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Keyboard / Mouse Combo - $13.79

inland Home/Office Series 88033 7.2 Watts 2.0 Speaker - $10

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7 - $30

Acer G215HVAbd Black 21.5" 5ms Full HD WideScreen LCD Monitor 200 cd/m2 20,000:1 Max (ACM) - $130 (1080p)

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM - $100

TOTAL : $1238.79 ($1193.79 after rebate), this is a perfect COMPLETE PC for that price, this build could practically play all games on max settings on 1080p. The GTX 560 ti 448 cores is only slightly slower than the GTX 570 thus it is a great card. And also, this build is SLI ready since the PSU (corsair 850w) is excellent and can handle 2 way SLI of GTX 560 ti 448 cores on a high end system with overclocking.

NOTE : newegg parts and prices

Good games like League of Legends?

Q. I absolutely LOVE league of legends but my computer's graphic card is too old for it :/ Is there any other older games like league of legends that my old computer might be able to handle?

A. What are the specs? You can play LoL in 2d mode, but you don't see as much of the terrain, which will limit your potential quite a bit. Unfortunately, I don't think there are many moba games out there. There's DOTA, DOTA2, and Heroes of Newerth. DOTA is a mod of Warcraft III, so unless you want to buy a copy of Warcraft III, think you're out of luck. Here's a list of other moba games: http://www.mmobomb.com/games/moba , but this definitely doesn't list them all since Defense of The Ancients is pretty much the original, or at least the pioneer of the moba genre. Good luck on your search. Message me if you find a good one, because I'd like to know so I can tell people about it.

A. I have an i5-3470 and a gtx 660 ti, your computer overall is 10-15% better for gaming performance avg.... My rig blows through games. I run BF3 on mostly ultra, farcry 3 ultra, etc. I just run through it all. Any reason an AMD card over the 760's?

Also note, your computer when most of the parts released around early 2012, would destroy what the ps4 gaming looks like as it stands now.

Tips to Sim's 3 Computer Game?

Q. Any Tips on the Computer Game Sims Three?

A. hire are some use full tips :

Easy money
Start writing novels on your computer. Write fiction novels as they take the least amount of time. They will not bring you too much Simoleons. When you write, your skill will automatically advance. If your skill is high enough, you will be able to write more novel types/genres. The most money can be made from "Romance Novels". You will get royalties for six weeks once you finish a book. With the "Writing" skill maxed out, you can make approximately 40,000 Simoleons every week, which is more than the 34,800 Simoleons you can get by purchasing all neighborhood businesses, and takes less time to achieve. In three game weeks you should have a very high speed writing, 9 or 10 novels as best sellers, and 100,000 Simoleons.

Saving money
No matter how many times you use an object, if you sell it the same day you got it you can get all your money back. If your Sim is poor and needs body points or something else, buy a body machine and keep selling it back to get a refund of all your money.

Easy Cooking, Fishing, and Gardening skills
This trick requires a TV with a Cooking, Fishing, or Gardening channel and a video game system. Have a Sim sit down and watch television. Switch the TV over to one of the previously mentioned channels so that the Sim can start earning his or her skill point. Then, have a second Sim go over and start playing video games. Notice that although the TV is displaying video games, the first Sim still has the skill meter above their head. Allow this Sim to sit there for as long as they please until they decide to do another activity of their own. After that, the skill meter should stay above their head until you start another Cooking, Fishing, or Gardening skill activity. As an added bonus, you can train two skill points at once. For example, work out and both the Athletic and Cooking skills will continue to rise. If you keep repeating the steps until each skill channel has been viewed, the Sim will keep learning the three skills as he or she goes on about their daily life, and four when doing skill activities.

Free bookcase skills
Buy a bookcase, then have your Sim begin to study. Interrupt the action so that the book is placed on the ground. Sell the bookcase. The book can now do everything the bookcase could have done for free.

Increasing chance to have baby boys
Have a pregnant female Sim eat apples to increase the chance of having a boy.

Increasing chance to have baby girls
Have a pregnant female Sim eat watermelons to increase the chance of having a girl.

Increasing chance for multiple babies
To increase the chance of having twins or triplets, have one or both parents have the lifetime reward of Fertility Treatment.

Making friends
Buy a guitar. Play it to learn how to play guitar. Keep playing until you reach 5/10 level, which gives you the ability to "Play For Tips". When you have that ability, go to the park with the guitar in your inventory. When you are in the park, click the guitar in your inventory, and select "Play For Tips". People watching you will become your friends if you keep playing. The higher your guitar skill, the faster they will become friends with you.

Disable aging
Instead of using a cheat code to toggle "aging on" and "aging off" like in The Sims 2, you can de-activate the age in "Game Options" under "Options". When you uncheck the box next to "Aging", your Sims will no longer become older. You can also slow aging down in this menu by setting the "Lifetime" bar. It can be set from 25 days to 960 days.

Avoiding death
Go to Pleasant Rest Graveyard. Near the gate is a bush called "Death Flower Bush". Harvest the flower from it, and keep it in your Sim's inventory. If you die, that Sim will give the flower to the Grim Reaper and be resurrected. Although the flower will not reappear there again, if your Sim has Level 7 Gardening, they can plant the "Unknown Special Seeds" found in the graveyard and some other places that have a chance to grow as a Death Flower. Note: Having the Green Thumb trait to revive the plant may help.

New clothes
To get new clothes, you first have to buy a dresser from "Buy Options". Once there, click "Plan Outfit". You can put a total of three different clothes for each type (formal, every day, athletic, etc.).

Strange faces
There is a glitch in Create-A-Sim mode that allows to you to make very strange faces. Go to the face designing area. Select a face part such as the eyes, and max out all the sliders one way or the other. Then, go to a different face part, and select one of the predesigned parts. Return to the eyes. The sliders will have reset to the middle, but the eyes will still look the same. This works for all of the face adjusting tabs. You can then continue to max out the size of the eyes and repeat. You can make eyes the size of dinner plates, very long cheekbones, huge noses, and more.

Hording pizza
Have a Sim call for pizza. When the pizza deli

What's a nice gaming computer?
Q. I'm wondering what's a nice gaming computer?

A. The best gaming computer has and always will be the one you build yourself. Even if you have no knowledge in computers it can be a good learning experience and you can get a machine far superior for cheaper than outright buying a "gaming pc".

Then you have to ask yourself the question, what kind of gaming is it that you want to do. The most crucial component in your gaming machine will be the video card and how beefed up the card will have to be will depend on the quality of your graphics and the intensity of your games. Take Tomb Raider for example you have various settings from low all the way to Ultra where the strands of hair on the main character are all independent for realistic effect.

Research on the components needed for your desired spec gaming machine can easily be found through google and various forums. Parts can be purchased through sites such as newegg.

Breaking this down further, regardless of the quality or intensity of the gaming you generally will never need anything more powerful than an i5 processor, with exception to the 6 core i7 i5 and 7 differ mostly in hyperthreading ability and caching ability. AMD can be good but performance will always be better with intel, don't let the clock rate full you.

Gaming laptop under 500 dollars?

Q. I'm in a need for a laptop that is under $500. My budget can stretch little over $500. I play games like League of Legends and FPS (Counterstrike, CoD, BF4....). I don't really care for max settings, I prefer smoothness over quality. So can anybody recommend a good computer that I play games on?

A. $500 is low. For a time, Acer offered a laptop with HD 7670 graphics at $500 on closeout.
Although games like League of Legends can run on any modern laptop, you mention BF4, and some other modern games require much more graphics power to run, and some games set high minimums.
Used laptops are usually without significant warranty and do fail far more often.
You may see some sales next towards mid-March as the Asian accounting year is Apr 1-Mar 31 and a press for sales occurs.
Desktop/towers built on your own and using an already available TV can do much better.
Here is a gaming to graphics card list:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html
Intel HD Graphics 4400 at rank 252 is marginal.
Newegg.com, often of best prices, has nothing under $650 with dedicated graphics.
Lenovo G505s, a basic Essentials level from them where Ideapads and Thinkpads are more reliable, starts at $530 plus sales tax in Calif, NJ, TN
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834313719
AMD A-Series A10-5750M is not a strong CPU, but has Radeon HD 8650G.
That gets you to rank 192, and misses a few games, but may be the best you can do at $500.
Shop around, check the table reference, ask about it.

Brand Quality:
http://www.rescuecom.com/news-press-releases/computer-reliability-report-2013-Q3.aspx
The lower end of each brand is HP-Pavilion, Lenovo Essentials, Toshiba Satellite, Dell Inspiron, HP-Compaq, and all Acer-Gateway

Newegg, BHPhoto, Adorama each may have something and even Best Buy sells a special deal every now and then.

Can I make a gaming computer for under 500 dollars?
Q. I would like to build a good computer that can run games smooth for under 500 dollars. I have someone helping me build it so I just need to buy the parts. I was wondering what parts I can buy and how many fps games will run with the parts.

A. The fool above me forgot ram, power supply, and operating software, arguably the most important things.

Oh, and bull shit to his 15 years computer building experience. You don't forget about those things, just don't listen to him.

/sigh

For 500 you really can't build anything that would run games. I'm sorry, but you really can't. If you plan on playing games you will need about a 700-900 dollar budget and with that you can get an entry level PC. If you can't afford that I would really suggest just buying a video game console such as the PS3 or Xbox 360.

With 1000 dollars I can build this;

Intel i3-2130 - 140
Intel H67 mobo - 110
8gb 1333mhz ram - 50
Radeon 6870 - 170
Corsair CX500 psu - 60
WD blue 500gb 7200rpm hard drive - 100
Generic DVD drive - 40
Zalman z9 plus case - 70
Windows 7 64bit OEM - 100

So this will be a well working machine capable of maxing alot of games, with an affordable price tag. Total comes to 840, assuming you have peripherals

Do you think computer games cost more at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, or Circuit City?

Q.

A. Computer games have their price fixed by contract with the manufacturer. If you won't sell at that price, you are not allowed to sell them at all. The price has a time limit on it. All new games are the exact same price wherever you go. Older games can be priced at whatever they want.

That's why circuit city only sells old games and why target, walmat and best buy tend to focus on older games. This is, of course, a foolish waste of expensive floor space. But, whatever.

Does Walmart Carry Grand Theft Auto Computer Games?
Q. Or Left For Dead 2?
i wanted to buy it today
but im not sure if they sell it
for computers

A. yes they should sell both of those. however please be aware that if you are underage they will ask for a parent or guardian to purchase the game for you. i used to have to do that when i worked there.

Is this a good computer for online gaming, video editing etc?

Q. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-210-OK&groupid=43&catid=1445&subcat=
That's the link to the computer, is it a good value for money and is it worth getting? ;D
Thanks, Tom.
I will be using editing programs like Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effects etc.

A. Yes but a word of advice, I am big windows user and not really fan of Apple but when it comes to video editing, Windows is horrible for video editing, I have been through many video editing software for windows and have been disappointed constantly. When I was in highschool I got used to using Apple's FinalCut Pro and sometimes (although rarely) iMovie. But Macs are expensive and the price of FinalCut Pro is around the same price of the computer it is running on. But for gaming that computer is great for gaming, just don't expect to run Crysis on high settings (which takes a godly computer to do so). But for games like Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2, you would be able to run those on max settings.

Is this a good computer for gaming and video editing?
Q. All right, i dont know that much about computers, so i need your help. I found this computer under 800 bucks and it looks decent, im wondering if its good for gaming and video editing? its processor seems good but i dont think theres a graphics card listed so im not sure. what do you guys think/

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Acer+-+Veriton+PS.VC5P3.006+Desktop+Computer+-+Intel+Core+i7+i7-2600+3.40+GHz/4156696.p?id=1218457001954&skuId=4156696&st=Acer%20-%20Veriton%20PS.VC5P3.006&cp=1&lp=1

A. I'm not so sure it would be best for video editing, but for gaming, it should be fine. You might have to upgrade the video card though.

who can tell me what kind of computer suit for playing games !?

Q.

A. you can try lenove !
it is evry good , there is a kind of computer that suitble for gaming !

What kind of computer should I buy for gaming?
Q. I love video games. I want a computer that can play them. And I plan on using this computer for a long time, so I wanna be able to play these games with the graphics on high and all that. Games like Portal 2, Skyrim, and Boarderlands. I don't like the way "Gaming Computer" sounds, but I suppose that's what I'm looking for. Here's the thing. I only have about $1000-$1200 to spend on it. Also, I don't wanna have to build my own computer. I'd like for all the parts to come in one package. Also, I'd like for this to be a Windows Desktop computer. Mac's kinda bug me. Anyway, basically I want a cheepish computer for playing these newer games with the graphics on high with no lag or anything. Can somebody help me? I have little computer experience, and I really feel helpless. I feel like I'm repeating myself too much, but I wanna really be able to run those flashy retail games and make them look good. And... I really hope it could come with a monitor. If it doesn't, I probably won't get it. I won't have any money left over to get a screen. Thank you for your consideration.

A. If you like all parts to come in package, then you will have to buy a branded pc, that is, a full desktop pc customized by a renowned band like HP, ASUS etc. But then again, they will give you less performance per price. You can find those brand pc in the respective websites or www.amazon.com or www.newegg.com. Newegg gives the best price for computer hardwares.

I am assuming, you want to game in full HD and in high settings at a good frame rate. So I recommend at least a quad core processor. You told you had only $1000-$1200 to spend on it. But with that price, you can customize an above average gaming pc.

In terms of gaming I personally prefer intel processor over AMD and nVidia graphics cards over ATI graphics card. But that's my personal preference based on reviews and benchmarks. Others could disagree. Anyway, I am giving an example here of custom gaming pc built within your budget:

1)Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K -----------------------------230$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504

Its latest generation intel ivy bridge processor and very much powerful for gaming in details.

2)Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65 LGA 1155----------------190$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130643

PCI express 3, USB 3 motherboard from a renowned band. Also consider Asus, Gigabyte, Asrock band.

3)Graphics Card: MSI HD7850------------------260$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127663

Its a powerful graphics card and can handle latest games easily.

4)Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB-------------------50$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428

You can also buy CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB

They both are much powerful ram and most popular.

5) Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB -----------------120$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533

6) Optical Drive: ASUS 24X DVD Burner--------------19$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204

7)PSU: CORSAIR Builder Series 600W----------70$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028

8)Computer case: Cooler Master---------------------60$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233

9)Speaker: Creative 5:1----------------------56$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836116049

10)Monitor: Acer LED monitor full HD----------------110$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009316

11)UPS (optional): --------------------------------50-150$

That pretty much sums up to 1250 including UPS. But with rebates, prices will be drop down to near 1000$

Good luck!

P.S.: I forgot about operating system. I assumed you had that already. If you don't have buy Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1 (don't by 32 bit) for 100$
That sums upto like 1100$

Its no big deal to build a custom pc. Seek help from some of your friends who knows computer hardwares or get your hardwares assembled from a computer servicing store.

How will this computer preform with new games?
Q. Hi guys, after long time of having this computer i am finally gonna buy a new one,i wasn't able before due to money problems.I have limited money and even more limited payment method (total of 3 big stores in Serbia support this) so i can't build my computer on my own and i have to use pre-built one. Here are the specifications, what i want to know around what fps will newer games run on different settings (Using resolution 1920x1080 or 1280x720 if i really have to).

CPU:
CPU LGA1155 Intel® Core i5-3450, 3.10GHz/6MB BOX 22nm
Motherboard:
B LGA1155 B75, PCIe/DDR3/SATA3/GLAN/7.1
Power supply:
It's 500W,but there is no listed manifacturer,so I will most likely get a new one anyways.
GPU:
AMD Radeon 7770 1GB/DDR5/DVI/HDMI/DP/128bit
RAM:
8GB (2x4) DDR3
HDD:
1TB (not sure about the speed)
Sound card:
Integrated
Box:
ATX Mid Tower (I like it and there's frontal jack for headphones/microphone).

It costs me around 475 euros which is around 600 dollars.Tell me what you think about it for the price and how will it preform as I asked earlier ^^.
Edit*Specially interested how will Guild Wars 2 preform. Thanks in advance.

A. This is the set of information needed to evaluate GPU, CPU, projected gaming based on closest matched GPU by G3D score of the 2nd web site, and then the HD 7770 power needs and Guild Wars 2 info:
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html
http://www.game-debate.com/hardware/index.php?gid=796&graphics=Radeon%20HD%207770%201GB%20GDDR5
Guild Wars 2 does not release for a couple of days. There is limited information for how it would perform:
http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=684&game=Guild%20Wars%202
The fact that you are above recommended requirements should then be no problem to play fairly maximum.

The CPU is good. i5-3570K is ideal for its gaming as 4 core, powerful, high clock rate, and overclockable. i5-3450 is not overclockable, but not far down in performance. Gaming typically is 2 to 4 cores maximum.
The HD 7770 is a low power card based on a PCIe 3.0 attach and the B75 motherboard should have PCI 3.0 instead of only 2.0, considering it is also SATA III, but that is not always true.
HD 7770 is only an 80 watt card which is very low. The system 500W minimum is less critical than a recommended 20 amps on 12V for the system, and I prefer 1.5x min for 30 amps on 12V. Only a few 500 Watt supplies have 30 amps.
This cheap Diablotek is 17A:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817822008
Yet a little better one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159124
is 34A
So, The system is good for what it is. Midgrade new level graphics using very low power and a good CPU matching to it.
Above allows you to evaluate one vs another.
With a G3D score of 1000, every game is playable on at least minimum.
The HD 7770 is G3D 2056. It should so well as seen from the notebook gaming
Of course, it is not GTX 660 ti at 3475 that actually in gaming matches HD 7950 3757 score.
As to the price, that varies by country with import taxes. I think $600 is fair in Serbia for the system.
You can check competing ones with the data set I provided here.
