What is the best processor, mother board, video card, and etc.for computer gaming desktop?

Q. Im planning to put a computer gaming shop business. Please give me advice on whats the most affordable but best set up of computer I can assemble.please be specific.im really not a tech person.

A. It is all very budget dependent. Here is a nice $1000 part set if putting it together yourself, and be sure to watch youtube videos and work on a non-static flat big surface and wear gloves or ground yourself and never force things together.

CPU Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz 4 cores, 4 threads since gaming does not use hyperthreading nor more than 4 cores.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler - a good value for overclocking the CPU. It is tall, but very efficient and priced well.
Asus P8Z77-V LK ATX LGA1155 Motherboard - supports overclocking, and has 2 slots of pciex16 to possibly add a second GPU in SLI at another time for crossfiring instead of replacing the graphics card as you would in a 1 slot system.
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 The right amount for gaming in the right speed for the CPU and is a good brand 1.5V with heat spreader in CAS 9
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive - fairly reliable bulk storage in a good size of a terrabyte
Sandisk 64GB 2.5" Solid State Disk - to hold Windows and a few games for fast load and top performance. Can use half in partition for Intel RST/SRT HDD acceleration if preferred.
Video Card Galaxy GeForce GTX 660 2GB - Highly rated solid performer. I did not look up its status for SLI vs crossfire
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/660?vs=548
Cooler Master Storm Enforcer ATX Mid Tower Case - Nice looking case with good air flow and roomy. Starts with only 2 fans as adequate, but could add a top fan. There are many good choices of cases. Has USB 2 and 3 and audio ports.
Rosewill Green 630W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Decent enough as a single rail (one +12V as preferred) with a 6 and 6+2 pcie connector set and since GTX 660 needs only one, should be enough for crossfire one day without changing it. 50A (600 watts) on 12V to power GPU, CPU, fans and disk drives. There are better and worse PSUs but this is surely at least adequate and more.
Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer - any DVDRW
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)
gamers prefer Win 7
Still need keyboard, mouse, audio output (speakers/headphones), and a display

I need help building a computer to handle Diablo 3 and Battlefield 3 plus surfer and downloading ?

Q. I am Novice when it comes to building computers. I was tempted to buy the Walmart gaming desktop for under 500. But i rather ask first here. So if anyone can help. I will be extremely thankful. Note i dont have anything so if i could get a list of all the parts .
CyberpowerPC Black Gamer Ultra GUA250 Desktop PC with AMD Quad-Core FX-4100 Processor, 8GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive and Windows 7 Home Premium with Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Option. NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 Graphics

With 1GB video memory, DVI, HDMI and VGA capabilities
this is what the gaming computer on the walmart has to offer .

A. first off. DO NOT BUY PRE-BUILT PCs.

Every single time, 1000 times out of 1000, the company of the computer you bought made profit by cutting costs such as giving you total SH i T components that aren't advertised on the specs. Like the power supply. Like the motherboard. Like the brand of video card (not the manufacturer of the reference model ATI/NVIDIA).

Build your own PC by buying a motherboard, processor, RAM, video card, hard drive, optical CD drive, power supply and case.

In the end, when you order all of your parts, you will save money that would have been profit in Walmart's pockets and whoever built your PC.

You learn about what's in the case. It's a rewarding feeling. You have 100% control. There's no bull s H_ it Indian tech support people to talk to.

Go to newegg. They're the most reliable website to buy PC parts. Start with a video card in your price range that has good benchmarks and reviews. This is the main component for video game performance. Once you pick one, find a motherboard that supports it (PCI express slots), a case that fits it (shouldn't be too hard, but be careful), make sure your processor matches the socket type of your motherboard, make sure your RAM works with your motherboard (keep in mind windows 32bit only supports 4GB or less of RAM, so get Windows 64-bit CD from new egg), use newegg's power supply calculator to find out how beefy of a powersupply you need, and always round up to play it safe. modular = no cables permanently attached to power supply (cleanest). semi-modular = only permanently attached cables are the ones you need (24pin mobo and 4+4 pin processor), so still nice.

the most reliable companies for each part in my opinion are listed below:

Motherboard: ASUS
Processor: Intel
RAM: Corsair
Video Card: AMD GPU, assembled by ASUS
Optical disk Drive: Very stupid almost-outdated thing but you need it to install your OS, go with ASUS OEM version. your power supply will come with the apropriate power cable and your motherboard will come with a data cable for it.
Hard Drive: Western Digital. Keep in mind they have 3 types, color coded. Green is for tree huggers, black is for performance. Go with caviar black.
Power supply: Corsair
If you get an SSD, go for Intel. SSDs are like hard drives, but have no moving parts. They are alot more expensive per gigabyte. But they are FAST. If you want Windows to load within 10 seconds of pressing the power button, install windows to the SSD. If you want your games to load FAST and perform BEAUTIFULLY, install it to the SSD. Put all of your files and music and videos on your HARD DRIVE because you don't need those to open quick lol.

1-500$ total price = your computer is for your grandmother for checking e-mails and playing solitaire and minesweeper.

501-799$ total price = your computer could probably play Battlefield 3 at an average resolution and medium settings at about 25fps (kinda crappy my friend)

800-999$ total price = you're building a good computer, could play BF3 at larger than average resolution at high settings at about 35fps (this is on the fence between good and bad, so why not spend a TINY bit more and have a GOOD PC? see below!~

1000-1200$ total price = if you have at least a 78xx card from AMD, you can play BF3 at large resolutions on ultra settings at about 50fps (amazing, my friend)

it will take a while and you will be very worried at times like i was during your build. you will have questions. i strongly urge you to watch Newegg's how to build a computer videos on youtube. there's 3 parts. 1 is choosing your components, which is what you have to do first. part 2 is building your computer. i watched that 45 minute video like 10 times (450 mins total, about 8 hours).

the tricky parts you gotta be careful about are as follows:

zero insertion force of CPU into motherboard socket.
always having to de-staticize yourself when touching your motherboard by touching a metal surface.
plugging in very small leads to jumper pins on your motherboard
MAKING SURE YOUR MOTHERBOARD HOLES FIT ON THE CASE.
MAKING SURE YOU DON'T LET YOUR MOTHERBOARD TOUCH ANY PART OF THE CASE EXCEPT THE STANDOFFS THROUGH THE HOLES ON THE MOTHERBOARD.
screwing the fragile fricking motherboard on to the standoffs on your case

Good luck my friend. build it yourself and you will be happier and have better performance. i just built mine yesterday and im about to install the drivers and finish my college semester before i play some AWESOME games. i cant decide on battlefield 3 or waiting till BF4 ;D

>
forgot to list my personal opinion of the best company when it comes to the case. go with Corsair. the carbide 500r is perfect. that's what i built and it's amazing. JUST TAKE MY WORD BRO

What are the best settings for a computer shop?

Q. I have a computer shop with 10 computers, and working in 1 Internet Connection.

What are the best settings for my router to decrease the ping? Because when the users play online games it's kind of laggy.

I have a Cisco Router and a 16port switch.

My ISP is PLDT. Down Speed of 415Kilobytes per sec.

I kind of know nothing of these things. So any suggestions?
Tnx for the help.

A. You need to test your connection properly before determining where the bottleneck really is to start. Try "pingtest.net" and "speedtest.net", having your main computer connected direct to the modem, (wired and no switch or router) and take notes on results. Then try the same again with switch and no other comps connected and again with other comps connected and configured how you would on normal basis. Once you've collected you result data, make sure you have no more than 40 percent loss between results from first test and any other tests (the biggest drop would indicate the bottleneck.

Furthermore, your initial test should have a ping less than 200 (under 100 is decent, under 50 is excelent) and a download speed of at least 10Mb/s (20Mb/s or more is probably desired for your application). If theses minimal connection requirements aren't met, you should discuss with your provider about better connections or change providers to one that can meet these requirements.

Your switch should be capable of 1Mb/s per channel (for a 16 port you need a 16+Mb/s switch, but you are likely to only find 10Mb/s switches. So maybe find a 10 port switch that supports the 10Mb/s.)

Final note: these are simply suggested settings for OPTIMAL connections that support many computers to game and use high bandwith application (ie: youtube) with minimal lag. Other workaround would be to have 2 or 3 connection each split into their own routers...

How can I decrease the lag on my computer, and improve online gaming experience?
Q. Preferably through a free method, how can I improve this lag, and make for better graphics in online gaming?? Info below:

MS Windows XP
graphics card: Intel Celeron, Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller
CPU: 2.40 GHz, 766 MB RAM

A. If you go into My Computer, you can set the graphics down real low. I found this helped a lot for WoW and Oblivion. I'll not go into any details from where to go from My Computer, as this laptop's real old and it would just add to the confusion. Also, you can probably set the in-game graphics down low in settings.

Where can i get a no interest down payment on Gaming computer?

Q. I have a pavilion, i don't want 2 go any farther its "sucks" horribly. i mean, its great and all but the video card is more worse then getting piss dribble on your pants. after of years of wanting to play CSS counter-strike source. im looking for low-down payments no-interest gaming computers.
price range "600-700"
thanks

A. Not sure. Chances are, places like Circuit City or Best Buy have deals like that, but it's hard to find if they're not doing a promotion.

What about a layaway deal? Lotus accepts layaway if you want to do it that way. You can pay it slowly until you've fulfilled the balance. They won't send it to you until it's paid in full, but it's a good way to keep yourself from being tempted to use the saved-up money. You can ask them about it here: http://www.lotuspc.net/contact.html

Best gaming computer for its price and what is needed and not needed in a gaming computer?
Q. Okay i am thinking of buying a nice gaming computer but want to spend less then 700 dollars for the computer (excluding monitor) . I know to many cores are not needed and i7 is not need for gaming because hyper threading is useless in gaming and the 8 cores are also pointless. I want to know if its better to build my own or wait till black Friday and buy one? If build my own please recommend the best parts you think will be good for this price range and is easily upgrade-able (ram, more monitors on it, more then one graphics card slot ext) and where to find the parts. specific would be helpful here. Thank you for your time.

A. Hello! Last month I had also assemble my own computer and even I also wanted to spend less money on the components. To find a cheap online electronic stores I searched for various online websites and after a huge search I found an online electronic store from where I bought these components at lower prices as compare to other stores. This store is fully reliable as well as safe.

Things to keep in mind when building a gaming computer?

Q. Hello, I was wonder what are some key things/hardware to keep in mind when building a gaming computer. My gaming category ranges from MMORPG's to FPS to RTS games. I usually play newer games, meaning a lot better/advanced graphics most of the time.

If you could please list a couple of things(such as hardware) to keep in mind that would be great. You can also state some good/reputable company names when listing the important hardware. Any reputable custom computer (gaming) websites as well?

Thanks in advance.

A. the most important but overlooked thing when buying a gaming pc is cooling for the graphics card and the power supply. make sure you buy cooling fans or watercooling systems, and also a good psu with atleast 750w also it needs atleast 4 pcie power cables for new graphics cards

Whats a website that I can send a computer in and get it upgraded ?
Q. Well, I bought a computer last year and I want to upgrade it because ive gotten into computer gaming.

Whats a website that i can send it in, Buy parts from the same website and have them install all of it, too?

A. Well, why don't you check out some mom and pop computer stores in your city? Barring that, call the GeekSquad from Bestbuy if you just don't want to do it yourself.

Looking for good Gaming computer setup?

Q. I'm planning on building a gaming computer in the range of $400-$450, i'm only really going to play World of Warcraft, I want WoW to run at 60 fps ultra graphics in 25 man raids for cataclysm. any cheap gaming computer setup anyone?

A. Not possible.
Not for this price, unless you buy really good and cheap used PC built for gaming, but still will not happen.
I have played WOW on $900 machine with Phenom II X4 overclocked to 4.0GHz with 4GB RAM and Nvidia GT 240 1GB GDDR5 video card - it drops to 30-40FPS in 25 man raids on High/Ultra settings and 1920x1080 resolution.
Get some more money and buy real gaming computer.

What is a good Custom Gaming Computer Build for WoW?
Q. I'm looking into building my own game computer, because premade gaming computers make you pay twice as much as the parts cost just for the brand name. The game I play the most by far is WoW. I have a budget of 4 grand, tops. What is the best gaming computer setup I could possibly get for WoW and extremely fast performance as well as harddrive space and a really nice video card? And one that will last me for 5+ years.

A. ok so obviously you want to go with intel. intel right now is ahead of the game compared to an i7. benchmarks put any i7 processor at the top. so buy a board that is packaged with an i7 processor. (they did come out with a new i7 processor that is not a quad core, it actually is a 6 core, but is very expensive)

next you want a good gpu. personally i think ati is the way to go. with your budget you probably could buy the top of the line one which is the ati RADEON hd 5870. It can do everything.

memory is almost as big as the processor itself. it makes sure everything is running smooth. make sure your board supports ddr3 ram, because that is the fastest type of ram you could get. also you would want it to be ddr3 12800 and about 6-8gb of ram is a sold amount that will last you for a long time
keyboards and mouses are your choice. nothing too big they all do relatively the same thing.
the screen is something that shows your rig off. you should get a big screen, that would be one of the best. samsung has some of the most vivid screens you can get. make sure the screen supports hdmi, and you probably want 120hz because it will refresh faster, which is needed for gaming.

you do want hard drive space, but hard drives aren't that much of a problem anymore. there all relatively the same. just get a tb or 2 tb. a tb will cost less than 100 dollars, so you don't have to worry about breaking the bank on them. if you did want speed though, get a solid state drive, they are way beyond the write speeds that sata drives can take, but there expensive, and only hold around 100 gigs.

your precious rig needs to be safe, so make sure you get a big enough power supply unit. psu's don't cost that much either, but it pays to get one of the better ones, so nothing fries. if you get a small one, the unit would fry and you would have to buy another one...

fans would be big to. all these high end components will produce a lot of heat. just make sure you buy fans.

get windows 7 plain and simple. its just amazing.

if you research right you can get a very powerful computer that will cost less than 4 grand. good luck man. if you build a computer like this, it will support wow easily. your pc won't even seem like its working at all, it would laugh at what little your making it do.

Can I move a computer game to an external hard drive then to another computer?

Q. I have the Sims 3 with a bunch of expansion packs added on. I'm changing computers. Will I need to reload everything on my new computer, or can I transfer the game to an external hard drive, then transfer it to the new computer with everything intact?

A. As everything is loaded into different directories when you load the original programme you will need to start again. Your saved "games"should be in Windows/programmes/sims3 folder and should be saved to an external drive And replace the same folder when you reload the programme.

Can I run programs on my computer if they are stored on an external hard drive?
Q. Im considering buying an external hard drive. I was wondering if it is possible to run different programs off of the hard drive while it is plugged in.

If I had all of my music from iTunes stored on the hard drive would iTunes still work??

If I installed a computer game onto it would I be able to play it on my computer?

A. Due to issues about the libarys and registry, it can work but only for that computer you originally installed on and will not work when you use it on another computer.

PS: unless it is connected through e-sata the games may get a lot of lag due to the much lower transfer rates on the USB or firewire.

What are the best parts for a gaming computer?

Q. I'm looking for the best parts for a gaming computer so that I can get all of it off of ebuyer and build my computer but i'm not too sure what are the best things to have. I want to be able to play Garry's mod, Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 2, Lego games, Sumotori Dreams and World of Warcraft. I also want to record videos and put them on Youtube and eventually become a partner.. So what are the best parts for the computer and what is the best recording software?

A. Tom's hardware provides very good comparison guides for most components and even low, mid and high end build guides that you could take in total.

What are some good video capturing software for free?
Q. I want to record some game on my computer. What are some free software that is good for record computer games? You can also throw some paid ones in your answer if you'd like, but I mainly want free ones that are good.
It also needs to record sound.

A. There are some very good free screen video recorders and some very expensive ones...

BB FlashBack Express - http://www.bbsoftware.co.uk/BBFlashBack_FreePlayer.aspx - good screen video capture program. Captures to AVI and SWF formats. The problem with this one is it puts a halo around the screen cursor which cannot be removed.

Expression Encoder - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=5c3c5f97-678c-4c99-a7fc-f84f320c626f - An advanced audio/video-encoding and live-broadcasting application. A huge program but the video capture is great. Captures to WMV format. The free version is good enough for most things but only captures 10 minute segments. The full version is $600 but it is a very good program. There are also less expensive versions of it which aren't anywhere near that - http://www.microsoft.com/expression/products/Purchase.aspx#tabs-1

Screen to Video - http://www.koyotesoft.com/indexEn.html - great screen video capture program. Can capture screens to AVI, SWF, FLA and WMV formats. My favorite free recorder.

Wink - http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ - A tutorial and presentation creation software. The screen capture is great. Captures to SWF format.

The most common free one is CamStudio - http://camstudio.org/ - but I stopped using it some time ago after I found it could not capture subtle gradients and changes some screen colors.

Camtasia is very good - http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html - but it's $300. Fraps - http://www.fraps.com/ and Bandicam - http://www.bandicam.com/ are good. I think they are a bit heavy on resources but they are less than $40 each.

Then there is Adobe Captivate but that's $900.

Camtasia, Expression, Wink and a couple of the others have their own editors otherwise just use a video editor to edit them.

If you mean from a game console then hardware capture and encoding is better. Hauppauge, AVerMedia and Blackmagic are all good makes. Personally I like the Hauppauge HD PVR - http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html the gaming edition is good but the "normal" one has better software.

The point is, can anyone give me a good price and performance build for a desktop gaming computer? I plan to use my current monitor, keyboard, and mouse to save some more money. If the parts you suggest are incompatible with certain keyboards, monitors, or mouses please tell me. (I wouldn't know why)

A. Just look at Best Buy for a gaming computer for that price. Some of the deals are amazing.

What is the Best Computer For playing Online games?

Q. Hello everyone i just need to know what is the best computer to play online game like World of Warcraft and perfect world i'm saving up for new computer. :)

A. There are two good computers out there right now that I would buy, the intel i5-2500k and the i7-2600k. If you want to save some money, any quad-core processor with a suitable GPU could easily run the game at 80fps+. So here is an budget setup for WoW:

Any Quad-Core processor
2 or 4 GB of RAM
320-500 GB Hard Drive
Radeon HD 5000 series+

Here is a setup that will last much longer and allow you to play games like Battlefield 3 and MW3:

A. Nope
The first one you have the price listed at $1,010 and the video card you're getting is very weak
The 2nd is using old DDR2 memory and has a weak video card
You'll be better off buying the parts individually and putting it together yourself

Where to buy a gaming computer?

Q. I want to buy a Gaming PC but i don't know where to get it and i wont to know trusted places because some of them don't look professional. The reason i don't wont to build one is because i don't wont to mess it up and be out the money and still not have a PC. ( Not Alien ware because they are a little over priced)

A. A gaming computer is something you build, you don't just buy one from a store, really.
It is not at all hard to build a gaming PC, even a 13 year old kid can do it, and I've seen lots of them here that did just that.
Very detailed instructions are available if you Google on the subject, even Newegg.com has video tutorials on building a PC.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPIXAtNGGCw&feature=player_embedded
Buy all your parts from Newegg.com or Amazon.com, they are the cheapest

All branded computers sold in stores (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Sony, Acer, Asus and such) are not 100% fitted for gaming, as the manufacturers will always try to use the cheapest hardware they can find and sell for the highest profit possible.
Even if one such computer has a good processor and graphics card, it will most likely have a cheap motherboard, with an older model chipset. Also all branded computers are setup by the manufacturers not to allow for any overclocking, as it will mean a loss for them to fix or replace damaged hardware while in warranty.

Here is a complete list of components to buy for a very good to best gaming PC build:

All prices are in $USD, from newegg.com, and current as of April 2012.

PROCESSOR: Best budget processor: Intel Core i3-2130 ($150) - best budget 4 threads, dual core processor.
Best value and performance processor: Intel Core i5-2500K quad core ($220)
Best in class, price accessible processor: Intel Core i7-2600K quad core ($320)
CPU COOLER: Get a good after market processor heat sink and 120mm fan. The stock Intel CPU cooler is crap.
Either a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or Sunbeam Twister 120 - Cost $35 to $50
Or you can get a water cooler, like Corsair H60 or H80 ($70 or $105)
MOTHERBOARD: For any processor above, get a motherboard with socket LGA1155 and chipset Z68, at least this $120 GIGABYTE GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128495
MEMORY (RAM): Both the processor and the motherboard feature fast dual channel memory, so only buy RAM in identical pairs, to enable dual channel memory operation.
Get an 8GB dual kit (two x 4GB) DDR3 1600 G.Skill Ripjaws X Series or Corsair Vengeance ($50)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 (8GB two x 4GB)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345 (8GB two x 4GB)
GRAPHICS CARD: at least a GeForce GTX460 Fermi or AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6790 (or better), choose any with a 2200 score or higher from this benchmark list:
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
The best graphics card would be GeForce GTX680 or GTX580
HARD DRIVE (HDD): 1TB Seagate Barracuda or Samsung Spinpoint SATA III (6.0Gb/s) 7200rpm, 64MB Cache hard drive ($115)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840
PSU: A good power supply, 600 watts or bigger (depends on the graphics card you choose), 80 plus certified form Thermaltake, Enermax, Cooler Master, Antech, Corsair or OCZ.
PC CASE: Any PC Case (full or mid tower), with bottom mount for the power supply, either ATX or μATX (micro ATX) size.
I recommend either any of the Sentey Series (Sentey Extreme Division Arvina is what I got) or Cooler Master HAF ($60 to $150)
http://www.newegg.com/Store/Brand.aspx?Brand=13670&name=The-Sentey-at-Newegg&Tpk=Sentey
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=haf&x=0&y=0
OPTICAL DRIVE: any cheap $15 to $25 DVD multi writer drive
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM for your operating system ($100):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986

Cost: From $800 on up to over $1500, depending on processor, graphics card, power supply and case you choose.

A good, full HD 1080p (1920x1080), LED backlit 27inch monitor will cost you around $260 to over $300.
Any cheap USB mouse and keyboard for about $30 to $50, or spend more for expensive gaming style ones.

Good luck.

The only other viable solution would be to custom order a gaming PC from places like AVADirect, iBuyPower, CyberPowerPC and such. They will build a gaming PC with almost all specs of your choice but you will pay considerably more as if you build that yourself.
DO NOT buy Alienware, they are Dell crap and also way overpriced.

Will need for speed most wanted 2012 work on Pentium 4?
Q. Processor Celeron or centrino
Speed 2.9 ghz
Ram 4 Gb
hdd 120 gb
graphics 1 gb

I want to run games as Need for speed most wanted 2012, battlefield etc

A. Are you on that computer right now. Well not sitting on top of it. That would probably be a bit uncomfortable. If you are in fact using it as you read click on this http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri . YOu would then choose NFSMW 2012 from the list and let it scan your system and return a report which will show how well your system might perform. http://postimage.org/image/83kbmiwhf/ is an example of that from a while back.

If you do not have that computer you MIGHT be able to use http://www.game-debate.com/ . That CPU is OOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLDDD duh.Ok it is archaic. Anyways you would enter your game in the top right search box. Choose your game from the list and then you enter er um choose your major components manually. It will then grade your setup from 1(WORST) to 10(BEST) with that particular game in mind.

I want a good gaming computer for around 500-600 dollars?

Q. I would like a gaming computer that could run minecraft, Arma 2, and Guild Wars 2 with high graphics. Can anyone help me with specs that include a monitor recommendation?

A. this is a 540$hp, currently out of stock but you can find it in other stores, can cerntanly play low-mid end games such as minecraft armour 2 and others , thats the whole reason i bougth it,

check out game debate, there you can search up games requirments and you will see the desktop below beats them or is right below them but not by much and you can always upgrade the graphics card and maybe do crossfire and play games like skyrim gta5 saints row 3, not that you cant already with the below desktop just that you will probably have to sacrifice some graphics in order to play with decent game frames but i assume not by much

http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Pavilion-P7-1235-Desktop-PC-with-AMD-Quad-Core-A8-5500-Accelerated-Processor-8GB-Memory-1TB-Hard-Drive-and-Windows-7-Home-Premium-Monitor-Not-In/20977051 ,
AMD Radeon HD 7560D Discrete Graphics With up to 4059MB total available graphics memory it has way better graphics unit then a GeForce 310 by far and i mean it beats the crap out of the 310.

and it has AMD Quad-Core A8-5500 Accelerated processor 3.20GHz, 4MB L2 Cache which also beats the crap out of most i5 processors but some i5 processors are stil la bit better, depends on which,

even though it has no screens you can fijnd a pretty good one for $88 which would put you around for $630 in total ,
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Dell-Exact-model-may-vary/21009304 , this is a very high deph screen and pretty decent size for $88, that is cheap compared to the others i researched , the 1280 x 1024 resolution is pretty mighty plus the dvi-d fits the desktop
heres some general info

AMD Quad-Core A8-5500 Accelerated processor
3.20GHz, 4MB L2 Cache

8GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 32GB)
Gives you the power to handle most power-hungry applications and tons of multimedia work

1TB SATA hard drive
Store 666,000 photos, 285,000 songs or 526 hours of HD video and more

SuperMulti DVD Burner
Watch movies, and read and write CDs and DVDs in multiple formats

10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN
Connect to a broadband modem with wired Ethernet or wirelessly connect to a Wi-Fi signal or hotspot with the 802.11b/g/n connection built into your PC

AMD Radeon HD 7560D Discrete Graphics
With up to 4059MB total available graphics memory

now if you dont beielve this one is better then the one mentioned by the other guy look the parts up here http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/ for the video cards, the one in this hp are in the high end and the geforce 310 are in medium- range, http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ , for hte cpu, there are a lot of i5 processors but only one a8-5500 , quick way to search them is clicking ctrl+ f then just type in the main namel ike a8-5500 and bam.

What is the name of the computer game about mexican mice?

Q. My family used to have a computer game sometime between around 2000 and 2006 with a storyline involving mexican mice and tacos and I think a boy mouse rescuing a girl mouse. They're wearing sombreros and the setting is very western looking, but no one in my family can remember what the game is called. It was for PC and we had it on a CD rom. If you had any idea what it might be called, we'd all be very excited!

A. tamale loco: rumble in the desert II possibly?

What is causing my Logitech mouse and keyboard to not function properly?
Q. After a few minutes into any computer game, my Logitech mouse starts to become unresponsive, then starts to skip, soon the keyboard does the same often skipping or repeating keys that I press. I do not think it has anything to do with the fact that it is Logitech because while experiencing the problem I plugged in a different mouse and it continued to malfunction. This problem persists for a few minutes after playing the game before dying down. However anytime a game starts the problem will start too.
It has nothing to do with the mouse because I have tried wired mice and keyboards. I think it is CPU/Videocard driver related.

A. new batteries if it is wireless or just take the cables out from the computer and insert them back in and restart ur computer

Can someone find me a nice gaming computer under 750 dollars?

Q. I have a monitor. However i need everything else. Can someone find me one for under $750. I do not need a mouse or keyboard either.

A. I built mine to play crysis well for about $455, not including OS, monitor...
athlon x2 4850
4gb ddr2 corsair ram pc2-6400
budget motherboard (socket AM2 with pci-e x16)
1tb HDD WD caviar black
OCZ 600 W psu SLI
EVGA Geforce 9800 GX2
I suggest that you get Athlon x2 3.0ghz or above, choose a motherboard that you like, check for a decent deal on ddr2 ram (4gb or so)
then find a good graphics card. It isnt as hard as you think.

What computer would be best for school work, gaming(Bf3 Skyrim) fast internet?
Q. What computer and specs from Dell would be best for ^^ and just a generally fast good computer under £750

A. Your budget would be around $1000, so I guess it would be much better if you get a customized (build it yourself) PC since they would be significantly much cheaper than DELL thus you'll get more out of your money.

Parts that would be good for your intended use:

I5-3450
H77 mobo
8 gb DDR3 1600 mhz
500 gb - 1 TB HDD

Does anyone know any good multiplayer games that can be played over the internet?

Q. It's really hard to find a multiplayer game where both players can be at different computers. Games.co.uk, is a good one but is there any more?

A. F.E.A.R. is a free multiplayer shooter game that can be played online, or on a LAN. http://www.joinfear.com/main It's quite impressive for a free game.

There are also a whole bunch of simpler games (like card, board, and word games) on games.yahoo.com and zone.msn.com. On these sites you can play poker, checkers, chess, battleship, scrabble, and a whole bunch of other stuff. You can either play with complete strangers or create your own private game to play with a person that you invite.

What Computer languages are most frequently used in Game Design?

Q. I have a kid in my neighborhood who has an interest in game design and computer modeling. I was wondering what languages are most frequently used in making computer/video games.
Well, I was looking to put together a computer for the kid, so that he could learn. And knowing what programming languages games are made in will help to make sure he gets what he needs in order to experiment with it.
He's not that young, I'd say Junior High.

A. Well finally a question that is right up my alley as a Systems Engineer, and high level programmer... :)
The main language used in programming games is Microsoft Visual Studios C++. This allows code compilation , debugging and is a processor based language.(In other words the CPU in your computer uses it also so it runs really really fast when you do too)
However, there is a great need to know a few other languages as well as this one so parts of games written in C++ call subroutines that are written in Microsoft's Visual Basic.
If you are going to have 3D graphics in your game...a must these days then for the scenes and graphic rendering we use MAYA, also called MEL (Maya Extended 3DScripting Language)..
Last but not least...if your game will allow Internet play it has to use Sun's JAVA scripts. Which also allows character movement based on user feedback, Improves graphic speed by using the host computers CPU instead of the internet servers ...in the case of a game like HALO...internet play...
Last but not least, you would / should know a bit about screen/monitor basics ...so you can fit your games to various pixel resolutions so they will run on any ones computer...and so you can call test routines from the monitor to set up your game on a particular monitor....without having to have the user reset their monitor resolution so that they can play the game....

Hope this helps....

What are some activities for school age children?
Q. I run an afterschool/summer program. The school age kids always say they're bored, however all they want to do is look at a screen--tv, computer, video game, etc. I need easy fun ideas we can do to keep them entertained.

A. How about looking into (academic) contests they can enter?

Make a fun (even music) video and post it on youTube?

Start a newspaper (see link)?

Play some games of jeopardy (see link)?

Talent show?

Community service? Find a cause that you and your students can help out with... care packages to soldiers perhaps?

Scavenger hunt?

International food day - have each kid bring in an international food and "pig out."

My PC wont launch any programs unless it is in Safe Mode, please help?

Q. The main issue is in the third paragraph and some basic PC info in the last.

I have had some issues my PC's performance in the past but it has been working quite well since then. Basically, it crashed and would restore while deleting all of my files in late 2011, but I left it alone for a number of months and it turned on just fine. That was in mid to late 2012. Since then, I've been using the computer, but not as regularly as I am now. Since I've never replaced the battery, it has to stay on longer and the fan runs even more because the computer is always pretty warm because of that.

After about a month of using the computer heavily, every day, I did start to hear random recordings and commercials and even sounds from online arcade games, they still play but are a lot less frequent and usually disappear when I start looking through my task manager and processes. I have yet to find the source of the noise because I have not found anything that looks suspicious installed or in my processes or through an virus protection. (I do not use external speakers). I think this may be because my friend has been streaming less than legal content (i.e. movies), but I'm unsure because I don't see any apparent threats.

As of last night, my computer has stopped launching programs. I shut it down around 1:40 am and around 8 am, I started it up again to send an email and it worked. From there, I hibernated the computer and came back around 10 am and couldn't get it to launch any programs. I opened it in Safe Mode with Networking (which is what I'm doing now) and it worked. I shut it down after an hour or so and came back around 2 pm. The computer still wont launch anything in regular mode and even shut down twice for temperature warning in Safe Mode even when the vents weren't blocked and the machine wasn't even very warm. What do you guys think the issue is? Please help!

I have a HP laptop that I bought in 2010. It's running Windows 7 Home Premium. My primary internet source is a college WiFi server that is locked and open only to students. I mostly run word processors, browsers and Photoshop and occasionally play an MMO that is installed. I never play the MMO longer than an hour and half because it uses a lot of power. I still have disk space, if that helps. I think I have under 40% though.
I don't watch porn on my computer and I'm pretty sure my friend doesn't either. Try again.

A. Obviously infected with something. There was probably some sort of rootkit involved, which is why you might not have been able to find it when Windows was working normally.

Using a clean computer, download this onto a CD and give it a boot on your computer:
http://support.kaspersky.com/4162

Did you install a fresh copy of Windows at some point? You might need to find the drivers that enable your computer to throttle down your processor usage, thereby keeping it from running at 100% power all the time. This would be something related to your motherboard, so find its model by looking at it, or using this command line:

How to copy a computer game cd on a laptop?
Q. I want to make a copy of a computer game cd i have but only have a laptop on hand. How can i do so?

A. Built to order computers
Martin K

It really depends on the game, Mainly, It depends on the format of the game.

Now to be clear, to you want to copy a computer game CD to a laptop
(Meaning do you want to transfer the entire game from CD to Hard Drive)

or do you want to just make a copy of the Disc from your laptop.

if you want to just copy the disc, Generally your best option is nero
and you select the Copy Disc option, This will create an exact duplicate of the Disc

Of course this only works, Assuming that your laptop has a Burner.

The other factor to consider is Copyright,... Meaning that for example if it's a Playstation 2 Game, Burning is Easy, Playstation 3, much more difficult.

Soi once again, i need to know what game it is. and i can give you a better answer.
