btw, i know it's alot of information but i just want to be detailed.

A. Anything but the most demanding games. That GT540M is in the middle of the lowest level of chips.
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce+GT+540M

Even in your resolution you'd struggle with games like Battlefield 3, Skyrim or maybe even Mass Effect 3 when wanting to play in highest possible settings.

Always check system recommendations (not "requirements" as they are always set too low to not discourage folks from buying games).

Gamedebate is one of the better sites for that kind of info.

If you buy a video card it would work as a gaming computer. (which would make you probably have to buy a new PSU)

What computer should I get?

Q. Just graduated college and my family bought me a a refurbished HP pavilion g62-340us and we got a pretty good deal on it. I plan to primarily use this computer for photo editing on photo shop, using RAW photos and whatever from an SLR if that matters. On top of that I would use my computer for downloading music and movies, while searching the web. Most new computers are ok with doing this task, but I might also play some computer games in the near future primarily diablo 3, will this computer after a year of screwing around downloading stuff will it still run these games of photoshop with music and the internet pretty well. I tried doing some research but I realized what would take me several hours to figure out pretty well, someone could read this easily and see if it works for me a lot quicker. Another option is to return this computer, save up, and get a better computer. Either some sort of macbook or self built computer with the help of one of my friends. Thanks for the help so far if anyone has an idea on the release of the new blizzard games (diablo 3) and whether this will be a sufficient graphics card not really a selling point on the computer, but something I would like to know.
-thanks

A. You won't be able to play Diablo 3 on a 4250 integrated GPU. Grab one with a dedicated video card like a 5570 / 5670 / 5770 / GTS 450 (those are common ones in big box stores)

A. that is a nice laptop, but as you are in college, the battery life is most important thing for you, usually the biiger the screen is, the lesse its battery will run.. Dont listen to the guys keep telling i3 and i3 or even i7 cpu, that sandy bridge pentium is capble of anything you accept from a laptop.
I would say a bigger screen is'nt really a benifit in a laptop when it can make your battery short and carrying it hard.. Go thru your options again and find one with best battry life/price ratio.. Good luck! :)

A. You can't run two different GPU's in sli. They must be identical.
An i5 is better for gaming because the GPU finds it easier to run of a 4 core CPU rather than a 4 core CPU with hyper-threading. Hyper-threading makes the system recognize the I7 CPU as 8 cores.
If you are doing a lot of editing an i7 would be better for that but an i5 will work fine aswel.
Also you don't need a psu that powerful.

What is the best laptop?
Q. I have been wanting a laptop and had been debating what laptop I should get. I would play games and browse the Internet. I would prefer one that would be fast and would not get laggy while playing games but I do not care to much. I do not care about graphics but I do care about price so tell me how much it would cost. I would prefer a macbook but I would get any computer.

A. Great little netbook at an affordable price. Specs are pretty standard for a 2010/2011 netbook: 1G RAM, 250Gb HD, 3 USB ports, basic video camera, separate Mic & headphone jacks, sd card slot, vga output and a very useful 8h battery life......

Quick Start Guide"

Which.. Is pretty much gibberish to me. Here's what I need the laptop for: I do a lot of drawing and photoediting in Photoshop Elements 8, and I use a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet to do this. I cannot have this laptop lagging while I do that. I am also a horrendous multitasker, and I will type papers while listening to music and surfing the internet. I play a few computer games here and there, mostly tycoon games and Spore. Those are less important. Last but not least, I need this computer to be able to play video well, even when I'm drawing. DVDs, online streaming, Netflix, youtube, you know. It all has to run smoothly. Will this laptop deliver what I want?
Along with that.. This is going to be a birthday gift from dad. He really really doesn't want to be spending much more than $350 dollars on it.. Times are challenging, you know?

A. Well, this is DEFINITELY not the laptop for you. You like to multi-task, and this is a slow single core processor. You are going to do photo editing in a powerful program? With a very low quality integrated graphics card? This will not do what you want, especially with no lag. Try this--->

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Laptop+/+AMD+Turion%26%23153%3B+II+Processor+/+14%22+Display+/+3GB+Memory+/+320GB+Hard+Drive+-+Biscotti/1623912.p?id=1218273846151&skuId=1623912

This has a decently fast dual-core processor, a nicer graphics card, 3 GB of RAM, and 320GB Hard Drive space. This will get the job done for 30 bucks more. Don't like this one? E-mail me at monkeychow5@yahoo.com and I find one for you. Just include price please!

Q. I am a 15 year old sophomore girl in high school and I'm having trouble coming up with my Christmas list for this year. I am pretty much an average girl. I love clothes, volleyball, reading, music, and all that. I know there are things I want, I just can't think of them. So, can anyone give me ideas? Please? :)

I already have an Ipod, camera, and phone. And I'm not rich either, so please no super expensive items. Thanks! :)

A. Definitely change CPU to i5 2500K or i7 2600K for cheaper and better performance. You will also need Z68 motherboard. The rest is just fine. Oh and do you really need that full atx case - it just has bunch of useless space on top.
