computer gaming chair?

Q. hey guys im a gamer and i need a new chair for my comp but ive gone in a few stores and i cant seem to find any good chairs except for these generic crap office chairs im looking for a really comfortable padded chair that doesn't have a bunch of stupid shit on it i keep looking at all these
"gaming chairs" and theyre all these stupid like sparco racing seats or some shit that sit on the floor and like go back and forth or some shit i want a chair thats made with computer gaming in mind without a bunch of gimicks and is just adjustable and extremely comfortable that will last anyone know of anything like that lol???

A. Choosing a well designed office chair is an essential step in achieving good computer ergonomics. A good furniture will preserve and support the natural curves of your body back. In the neck and low back the spinal curves in, and in the middle back the spinal curves out. To perform well the contour of the chair's back should match the curves of your back.

Can you run two games on one Computer?
Q. Ok so I want to run two games on one computer sort of like splitscreen (or possibly on another monitor if i setup 2). I know some games support it (l4d) but a lot don't. I also realize this will take a lot of CPU/GPU power but should be easy on lower settings for system I'm planning (ati 5970 which is a dual core GPU, 955 BE Quad core OC to 3.9ghz, 8gigs ram).

I don't want to split the controls on one keyboard I want to have one keyboard and mouse per player (max 2 players) or 2 xbox 360 controllers since i can connect 2.

Only Problem I see is havening two mouses lets you control 1 cursor. I need to have two cursors sorta if you understand. I cant have two mouses controlling one of the games.

Other thoughts
Have heard u can run to programs by right clicking a selecting "Run as other user" option but so far hasn't worked. Plus i know with older games you can run 2 games on one PC I did it by opening minimizing and reopening AVP2. but you could control both and when i joined an online server it crashed the serv.

Any thoughts or insight on this would be wonderful.
To answer Altay
First I already have 8gigs or RAM,

Second I am getting 5970 ect regardless of its possibility

Third I want to do this so I can play games split screen with my friends on one computer sorta like a counsel. Like i said earlier a lot of games don't support splitscreen so I want to have my own version by running two of the same game side by side.

A. Only game I ever knew of that used 2 mice/keyboards for 2 players was "Settlers 2", I think with games now, you'ld be better off using 2 360 pads and setting the controls for player 1 and 2 separately within the game to the respective pad1/pad2 and launching 2 instances in a window resized to half screen, either vertical/horizontal, although SOME games that use xinput rather than direct input ONLY use the first controller they find for some reason. Some PC Games natively support 2-4 pads(xbox or not) though but these generally are not split screen, SFIV and Pro Evo for example. If a game you use doesn't support splitscreen natively, you should check there isn't some sort of hack/workaround like there is for L4D, before running TWO instances though.

game pad and keyboard which is ur favorite to play games on ur computer?

Q.

A. I just tried "Call of Duty 2" on Xbox 360. I like the game pad... very efficient layout.

For strategy games like Command and Conquer and Total Annihilation, keyboard and mouse is best as there are many shortcut keys you can use.

Can Laptops crash from gaming?
Q. I bought Call of Duty 4, and after a few days of playing it, my laptop crashed, and I had to do a system recovery. I know laptops arent the best idea to play heavy graphic games on, but do playing advanced games Harm the computer?

A. You can play the game, just don't let your computer overheat. Use a cooling pad if you want.

Whats a good 2+ player computer game that all players can play on the same computer?

Q. We are going on a 9 hour car ride to Cape Hatteras tomorrow and I am looking for a computer game that can be played on one computer by multiple people. Emulator or board game type games.

Any suggestions?

A. I would recommend playing the Project64 (n64 emulator) on the way there. Especially if you have a controller adapter or a large enough keyboard. You could play Super Smash Bros. 64, Mario Kart 64, Golden Eye 007, Perfect Dark, etc.

I have the latest beta version, Project64 1.7 Beta, uploaded here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CU5059XS

You can get roms (n64 games) here: http://www.coolrom.com/roms/n64/
Downloading roms off the internet is considered illegal if you do not own the original game(s).

Project64 1.7 has great plugins for graphics, sound, and controls. For the controller plugin, choose N-Rage's Direct-Input8 V2 1.82. There is a newer one out (2.2) that you can get here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/nragev20/

Either way, select the N-rage plugin (should be in the "Plugin\Input" folder in the Project64 directory) by going to "Options" --> "Settings...". Under the "Plugins" tab (it should be there automatically) scroll down on "Input (controller) plugin" and select the N-rage plugin. Then click "Apply" and "Ok". To set the keyboard/joystick controls for the plugin, simply go to "Options" --> "Configure Controller Plugin". Assuming that you want to just play on the keyboard, I would say to set following controls (for two people):

Player 1:
Up - W
Left - A
Down - S
Right - D
A button - Y
B button - T
R button - R
L button - E
Z button - F
C Up - 1 (above qwerty keys, not numberpad)
C Down - 2
C Left - 3
C Right - 4
Start - Left Shift
(The digital pad is optional because a lot of n64 games don't really require it)

Player 2:
Up - I
Left - J
Down - K
Right - L
(If you're a righty when it comes to directional controls, then use the arrow keys for the Analog Stick)
A button - " \ " key (or " < " if righty with analog stick)
B button - " } " key (or " > " if righty with analog stick)
R button - " { " key (or Right Shift if righty with analog stick)
L button - O (or " ? " key if righty with analog stick)
Z button - quotation marks key ((or 1 on numberpad if righty with analog stick)
C Up - 8 (numberpad)
C Down - 2
C Left - 4
C Right - 6
Start - Backspace

After all these controls are set (whether you follow my specific configuration or not), then you can set the digital pad for each player (again, not required for a lot of N64 games). Once you're completely done with the controls, click "Save". I recommend choosing "Save Profile", making a new folder in the Project64 1.7 folder called "Config", and saving the file as "Multiplayer" or something (it should save as a .cpf file).

You're all set to play after that. If you have a controller adapter, you could either give more keyboard space to one of the players or have 3 to 4 players playing at the same time. For a controller adapter, I recommend the "3 in 1 Magic Joy Box". It's here on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Joy-Box-PS2-XBOX-Adapter/dp/B000RLWF7I

I have that controller adapter and have used the Gamecube and PS2 controllers on my laptop at the same time. It's something that you're going to want to have if you play emulators on your computer quite a bit.

Hope this helps and good luck!

EDIT: Be sure to carry an external battery for your laptop or some other external power source (or have a charger for the car), as emulation could syphon battery life quicker than expected (depending on the technical specifications of your laptop.)

I highly suggest reducing the graphics settings on Project64 to save on battery usage while playing. You should be using "Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.53" (recommended), which can be set by going to "Options" -->"Settings..." and changing the "Video (graphics) plugin" to "Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.53", then clicking "Apply" and "Ok". Afterwards, go to "Options" --> "Configure Graphics Plugin". Set "Windowed Resolution" and "Full Screen Resolution" to 640x480, "Full Screen Sync" to "Copy Memory", and change both "Anisotropic filtering" and "Full-Scene Antialiasing" to 1X. Click "Apply" and "Ok".

These are the minimum hardware and software specifications required to play Project64, quoted from the official P64 site:

- Intel Pentium 3 700Mhz or AMD Athlon 800Mhz CPU*
- 256MB system RAM
- 200MB free hard drive space + additional 20MB-100MB free hard drive space per game, depending on game and number of saves you make
- 100% Microsoft DirectX 7 compatible video, sound and input devices.
- Microsoft Windows 98
- Microsoft DirectX 8
