Is this a good gaming computer for the price?

Q. Now it's only $470 so im worried it might not be good. I was wondering if I could play battlefield 3 on medium (possible high). and other games like skyrim far cry 3 crysis 2-3 call of duty black ops 1-2.
Here are the specs
Motherboard:ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+
CPU: AMD FX-6100
RAM: 4GB (DDR3 !333 MHz)
Video card: EVGA GeForce GTX 650 (1GB)
Hard Drive: Western digital blue 500gb (7200 rpm, 16mb cache)
Power supply: 430 watt
Oh I put a ! point there sorry I meant to put a 1 but I was holding the shift key lol. It's suposse to be 1333 MHz not 333.
I can't upgrade to a i5 but I can upgrade to a AMD FX-8120 how much better is this processor then the AMD FX-6100?

A. That is a steal at that price if it comes with Windows 7 or 8 installed.

The FX-6100 is a low-to-mid range gaming CPU, that will be capable of playing on medium settings. The difference between the six-core FX-6100 and the 8-core FX 8150 is not that big during gaming, as gaming cannot utilize more than 4 cores. Here are real-life benchmarks for gaming processors, the FX-6100 is comparable to the FX-6200 so use that as your reference:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/fx-8350-8320-6300-4300_6.html#sect0

The Graphics card is the primary driver of gaming performance, and the GTX 650 is considered by many to be the gateway into the mid-range of gaming GPUs, along with the Radeon 7750/7770. They are around $100 retail, and offer decent performance.

Of course, a GTX 660 or 660ti would be better, but you won't find a computer for that price equipped with anything near that. I have a GTX 570 and play skyrim flawlessly, and it is not nearly as good of a card as the 660ti.

I would get that computer, it is a great value at under $500.

Computer for gaming.?
Q. I have about 1200$. What type of computer can I get that will run new games like BIOSHOCK or Orange Box smoothly? I know I want at least 3 gigs of ram, or else enough money to spare to upgrade it.
Thanks

A. I think $1200 is not enough. I recommend you build your own.

Is this a good gaming computer for the price?

Q. I want to buy a prebuilt gaming computer so i can play games like Guild Wars 2 with decent fps at high settings. I'm mostly interested in playing MMORPGs. Is this a good computer for what I want and for the price?

The computer: http://www.amazon.com/CybertronPC-GM2222D-5150-Escape-Gaming/dp/B0080NQCWY/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1372362899&sr=1-4&keywords=gaming+computer

A. i would say it's decent and will run games like guild wars and wow fine, though you might have problems with heavier games.

as to price, it's cheap, (at least compared to Norway) i have spent more than 2000 on mine

Is this a worthy gaming computer for the price?
Q. Hey guys! I've been looking into
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227258&cm_re=ibuypower-_-83-227-258-_-Product

I'm not the most tech savvy person out there, but to me, this looks like a pretty decent computer. Could I possibly get your opinions? Thanks!

A. Yes, its a great choice, and here is why:

1) 3.4 GHz on a quad core is VERY fast, there is NO game right now that will ask more than that, this processor will be able to play any game it wants for the next 2 years no problem, and if they start to need more, you can overclock it to 3.8 which, for a quad core, is super fast

2) 64 bit means that it can handle about 16 gigs of RAM, which is GREAT if you ever want to upgrade the RAM, also most things these days are turning towards 64bit

3) 4 GB or DDR3 RAM is great.... Anything OVER 4 GB is just for show, 4 gigs is a PERFECT amount for gamers, I have 4gb in my computer and I NEVER use over 50% of it and I run all KINDS of stuff at once and its DDR3 RAM... This is the newest stuff, it runs faster than DDR2 and will be dropping in price quick

4) 500GB SATAII HD.... This is PLENTY of space for games, movies, music, pictures.... you will have a fun time trying to fill this up, I have almost 200 movies and 5600 songs on my computer and Im only using 500 gigs

5) ATI Radeon 5770 1GB.... This is the same card I chose when I built my own super computer... This card has run every single game iv ever played on it (including crysis) on MAX visual settings. It can ALSO be overclocked which would make it even better if you ever needed it to be and you will never have to worry about temps either, mine runs at 38 degrees Celsius, its max temp is 96.

And all these people saying that the computer sucks or the graphics card or ram isn't enough are the same children that say "I dont want a honda, I want a lamborghini" They are just kids that dont know how money works and think that their computer will be a $7000 computer and they will not have any problems paying for it.

Best gaming computer for its price and what is needed and not needed in a gaming computer?

Q. Okay i am thinking of buying a nice gaming computer but want to spend less then 700 dollars for the computer (excluding monitor) . I know to many cores are not needed and i7 is not need for gaming because hyper threading is useless in gaming and the 8 cores are also pointless. I want to know if its better to build my own or wait till black Friday and buy one? If build my own please recommend the best parts you think will be good for this price range and is easily upgrade-able (ram, more monitors on it, more then one graphics card slot ext) and where to find the parts. specific would be helpful here. Thank you for your time.

A. Hello! Last month I had also assemble my own computer and even I also wanted to spend less money on the components. To find a cheap online electronic stores I searched for various online websites and after a huge search I found an online electronic store from where I bought these components at lower prices as compare to other stores. This store is fully reliable as well as safe.

I want to buy a gaming desktop computer?

Q. What specs should I be looking for in a capable gaming computer. Reasonably priced though, meaning less than 1000$. I bought mine maybe 4 years ago and I have a feeling it might be getting outdated.

A. If you want the best specs possible, you should build your own computer. It's also less pricey to build yourself, and you can ensure all the parts are of quality.

What specs should I look for in a gaming computer?
Q. I'm getting a new computer, but I still don't know which one to buy. I know gaming computers cost a lot, but if you could give me suggestions on how to make it a bit cheaper, that'd be great. So basically, I'm asking what I should look at for a fast gaming computer at an affordable price. Links would be great.
Thanks.
Most games will be played on steam.

A. Check out the suggested builds on TomsHardware System Builders marathon for August 2012: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-pc-overclocking-pc-building,3273.html

These are systems that are build and tested to work well together (total build cost does not include an operating system)

Hope this helps.

A good website to Build my own gaming computer?

Q. Im looking to build my own gaming computer, price doesnt matter, i just want to know a solid and reliable site. thanks!

A. Cyberpowerpc.com
Cheap,powerful, great pc's.

Where can i get a no interest down payment on Gaming computer?
Q. I have a pavilion, i don't want 2 go any farther its "sucks" horribly. i mean, its great and all but the video card is more worse then getting piss dribble on your pants. after of years of wanting to play CSS counter-strike source. im looking for low-down payments no-interest gaming computers.
price range "600-700"
thanks

A. Not sure. Chances are, places like Circuit City or Best Buy have deals like that, but it's hard to find if they're not doing a promotion.

What about a layaway deal? Lotus accepts layaway if you want to do it that way. You can pay it slowly until you've fulfilled the balance. They won't send it to you until it's paid in full, but it's a good way to keep yourself from being tempted to use the saved-up money. You can ask them about it here: http://www.lotuspc.net/contact.html
