How can I learn about video game graphic design?

Q. I am a sophomore at The Ohio State University, whose major is Computer Science and Information, and I was wondering if I could get any information on becoming a game designer. Since I was young, I have always wanted to make video games, but I didn't know where to even start. I would consider myself a good artist but I was hoping that I could improve on it this summer. If you could give me some information on summer classes and seminars for game and graphic design I would greatly appreciate it.

A. Video games have become big business. We're talking about a multi-billion dollar industry that has now outgrown many other industries in a very short period of time. Video games are no longer looked upon as kids only entertainment. Walk into any video games outlet, and you will see 20-30 year olds checking out the latest versions of Mass Effect, God of War, or Madden NFL. With the releases of the Xbox 360, the PS3 and the Nintendo Wii, producing games will be harder and a lot more involved. Video game designer teams producing these games have ballooned in size to meet the demand of a next gen experience.

i have found some good resources for you, hope it will helps you.

What major would video game design and computer graphic design be listed under?
Q. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I don't know a better place. What would that major be considered? I want to get into video game design, animation, and computer graphic design, but I'm not sure what the proper term for that is called. Can someone please help me out? Thanks!

A. Along with everyone else - it's random. Depending on where you go - it is different things.
For what you want look at colleges like Fullsail in Florida, some of the Art Institutes, and Art Center in California. Make sure they have 3D modeling and programming.
Be careful with programs that are just "digital design" and stuff like that. These programs can be so random in what they teach you that you won't learn enough to get into game design. (I know this from being at University of Cincinnati with Digital Design majors who have not gotten enough 3D modeling to do what they were told they would be able to.)
Start looking at portfolios of some game companies you like and see what they require for an entry level position. Usually they are crazy high - but you may be able to find out what you need and choose a program from there.
Fullsail really is great for game design - it's what they are all about - I suggest you look there.
