Q. I'm a noob at dealing with computers... I just love playing games!

A. Many games today rely heavily on GPU (graphics processing unit) power. You've got enough RAM and your processor is decent enough (although you could possibly consider buying a quad-core), so really the only thing that you should be purchasing at the moment is a new video card. If you're interested in NVIDIA cards, you could probably upgrade to the 8800 or 9800 cards- They provide great performance. However, if you're looking for an ATI card, either a 4870 or 5870 would be a good choice.

Im just starting to get into computer gaming, but right now my computers kinda lacking in upgrades. I can't play any games with super good graphics, so i've been playing a lot of older strategy games like rome total war and civilization 3. If their's any cheap upgrades somebody can recomment i'd appreciate it.

A. First step will be to buy a real graphics card. Find out if your motherboard has an AGP or PCI-Express video slot, and purchase accordingly. You'll also benefit from upgrading your RAM to 2GB.
