Q. Well i'm looking to buy a great gaming computer that can handle most games on max settings and my budget is probably a max of $750-$800 but id really prefer to stay at or under $700 and even though that might not be much I want to know whats the best i can get with that, and also if you say build your own i'm not exactly sure how to so even if i had the parts i wouldn't know what to do
Also if your going to say "you cant get much with that budget" well I'm asking whats the BEST i can get with THAT budget and if you say "build you own" can u give me links to understand how to build my own and whats parts the buy?

A. Wow all these people don't know how to make a good computer cheap.
Ill help you make a cheap and powerful computer.
Firstly to make a good Gaming computer that can play top of the line
graphics we need to have a good GPU, and all thats needed to make the game
run smooth is 4 cores. so we will sacrafic a bit of CPU for a more powerful GPU.

I will do an AMD build because it is cheaper.

I hope I helped you. BTW order the Motherboard and CPU first before you order the memory to make sure the memory/RAM is completely compatible with the board. Im quite sure it is but ASUS can be fishy when it comes to RAM sometimes.

I encourage you to look up alot of sites on how exactly to build and install a CPU, Motherboard, the Fan, and how how all the parts fit together. BTW this Motherboard is highly upgradeable when you learn more about computers so it is a good start. Be safe and find out how to build it.

Is the Lenovo - Desktop a good enough computer to play wow and other games?
Q. This is a duel or tri question in one sitting! So I am looking into buying a computer. It needs to be able to play wow and any future games I decide to buy!! I have to buy it from Best Buy though. I have my mind set on this one:
Lenovo - Desktop / Intel® Core i5 Processor / 6GB Memory / 1TB Hard Drive
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Lenovo+-+Desktop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i5+Processor+/+6GB+Memory+/+1TB+Hard+Drive/1972671.p?id=1218303653042&skuId=1972671

It comes with an Intel HD graphics card. Is this a good enough card to produce great graphics for wow and others? If not, I am looking at a card no more than $100, it must be from Best Buy, and could be installed by a person there (it is compatibale with the model stated above). I guess the recommened one to have is 64 mb 3d. Anything higher than that I suppose. Please answer at least one of my questions! I am looking to build a computer in the future, but not for this model!

-Thanks

A. >Lenovo has quite a good reputation, especially with laptop computers - but integrated graphics sucks big time and won't do you any good on gaming - so you HAVE to buy a video card. And by the way, there is no such thing as buying hardware today that will play ANY GAME tomorrow - it just doesn't work like that. Tomorrow they make a game with requirements that exceeds your hardware today, and that is that! Period.

As far as $100 is concerned, that is not enough to really buy a middle of the road GPU. Anything less than about $125 is bottom of the line unless you buy something that is a lot older. For around the price you are talking about, this would go back about 2 - 3 years, with something like the ATI HD 4850 or HD 4870 cards, which at the time, were much better than nVidia's GTX 260 card. The reason was the single monolithic size and dye size of the gpu on the GTX card which ran hotter than its ATI counterpart. The 4870 card is still an excellent card and is capable of playing Crysis on High settings - but may not be good enough for Crysis II which should be coming out shortly - so just be aware that in order to get a "good" graphics card at the price you are willing to pay, you will have to get an older model card. Other older cards that might work are the nVidia 9800 GTX overclocked card, but I would not spend money on any other model BELOW the 9800 GTX class. There are a plethora of lower cards that are no good for current gaming...so don't waste money on them. I doubt best buy will have these older cards - but you may still be able to purchase one on the internet at Newegg or Tiger Direct for about the price you have stated - just realize, these cards are dated and may not run all the latest DirectX requirements and Net Framework that games rely so heavily upon.

If the reason WHY you just have to have Best Buy install it is because of warranty concerns, then you can buy the card on the net and have Best Buy install it for you so you don't violate warranty conditions. If you are afraid to install the card yourself, let's just say, its one of the easiest things you can do with a computer upgrade. Check with Best Buy and see if they would be willing to install a card you bought elsewhere - I bet they say yes.
