Which.. Is pretty much gibberish to me. Here's what I need the laptop for: I do a lot of drawing and photoediting in Photoshop Elements 8, and I use a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet to do this. I cannot have this laptop lagging while I do that. I am also a horrendous multitasker, and I will type papers while listening to music and surfing the internet. I play a few computer games here and there, mostly tycoon games and Spore. Those are less important. Last but not least, I need this computer to be able to play video well, even when I'm drawing. DVDs, online streaming, Netflix, youtube, you know. It all has to run smoothly. Will this laptop deliver what I want?
Along with that.. This is going to be a birthday gift from dad. He really really doesn't want to be spending much more than $350 dollars on it.. Times are challenging, you know?

A. Well, this is DEFINITELY not the laptop for you. You like to multi-task, and this is a slow single core processor. You are going to do photo editing in a powerful program? With a very low quality integrated graphics card? This will not do what you want, especially with no lag. Try this--->

This has a decently fast dual-core processor, a nicer graphics card, 3 GB of RAM, and 320GB Hard Drive space. This will get the job done for 30 bucks more. Don't like this one? E-mail me at monkeychow5@yahoo.com and I find one for you. Just include price please!

Why does my computer slow down periodically?
Q. My computer (desk top) recently had Kaspersky AV 2011 installed and now for some reason while I am running a program whether its a game or another program it slows down periodically and last for about 2 minutes each time,, so annoying.. The intervals are about 10-15 minutes before it slows down again,, I unplugged the internet connection also and that didn't prevent it from the periodic lagfest....What is going on here? Is there something running in the background I am unaware of? I checked the Task Manager and Processes and cannot see anything that jumps out at me, but I do see the spike on the graphical chart for usage. Any Ideas?

A. Before you do anything to your computer make sure that you have no background running applications that are hogging the system, in some cases it may be some applications triggered by your computer's settings or it may be some bottleneck issues, from you are saying I do feel that it is due to some form of memory hogging process running. You may want to isolate that by disabling some of the softwares one by one in your window msconfig, you can access to that by going to start, run, type in "msconfig" without qoutes and go to the startup tab, disable the ones you don't need and isolate the ones you suspect is the culprit. Check your computer for any spyware, adwares, malwares or any malicious softwares in your computer, as they may be able to slip through certain antivirus suites, try doing a full scan. Alternatively, you can check on the windows and antivirus application logs to see what happen during that specific time. I hope this helps you.
