Why do so few women play video and/or computer games?
Q. I've noticed in my two decades of playing video and/or computer games that gamers are predominately male, though there is a strong minority of female gamers, but why so few?

A. I never liked games that were violent and involved fighting or power struggles. And back when I was first getting into owning a computer, that's all that was available. Whenever I went game shopping, the young salesboys would look at me like I was nuts when I asked for a game that was, say, about solving a mystery. But other women would always come up to me to tell me that I was right.
