Which major should I take Computer Programming and design or Computer Forensics and security?

Q. I am living in Chicago,IL and going to depaul university. I like using computers and all that other new tech. I like the idea of making video games and I also like the idea of catching criminals.
Can somebody tell me the pros and cons with both of these careers?

A. If you want to design video games you should click on these links for DePaul Game Development. I know they are getting a lot of attention for their game design program. Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine featured DePaul with MIT, USC, and the University of Utah in their June 2011 edition. It would be best if you talk to someone from their gaming program. They are the only ones that can tell you what you need to learn to get where you want to be.

What is the best computer processor I can buy for under $200?
Q. I'm going to build a computer made for playing endless video game playing and I need a good processor.

A. Under $200, i5-2400

At $219 though you can get the best gaming processor in the i5-2500k. The i7 is technically a more powerful processor but in no current games does it make any difference in frame rates so I'd definitely make the jump if you can.

Edit:

Ignore the person telling you to get the 990x Extreme Edition. As seen here: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2011/03/23/intel-core-i7-990x-extreme-edition-review/6 it actually performs slightly lower than an overclocked i5-2500k in gaming benchmarks when compared to an also overclocked i7-990x extreme. Not to mention even the used one they posted is more than double what you'd pay for a i5-2500k. In most cases the i7-990x performs equal or lower than the i5-2400k which is only $189 for gaming. You could get your processor and a great graphics card for the price of that processor and run games as good or better unless they come out with some game that uses 6 cores. Considering most games don't use more than 2 I doubt that's going to happen.
