Ideal Desktop Computer System Configuration for Software Development?

Q. Hi all. I'm From India, & I have recently started a new business, a software company. We work on technologies such as Java, .Net for developing desktop application, and PHP, JSP for web. I'm planning to set up a lab with at least 15 computers. All I want to know what is the Ideal Desktop Computer System Configuration I should go for?

like what motherboard - processor
RAM
HDD size & speed
and all other related stuff I should buy?

Please Help!
Many Thanks!!!
:D

A. hi pam
well for starters your best looking for a quad core processor ( minimum ) with 16gb of ram .... and storage is essential with a business so a 2tb hard drive is recommended ....
that's the core components however for software development you don't want a graphics card aimed at gaming ... instead you should be looking at either NVidia quadro or AMD fireGL .... these are designed to run more serious applications such as cad and java and would be ideal
however with 15 computers needed for your lab you need to keep costs low but still have plenty of power for your work
and with all 15 pc,s needing to be connected (networked ) you need to ensure any lan(local area network ) adapter is up to the job .... infact it may even be worth buying a dedicated network card such as a intel nic which cost around £25 ... don't use wireless especially when running a business as it wont be as secure as it should be
ive looked around for a good base system that's not too expensive and ive found a good pc in the shape of the "HP 600B MT Desktop + Monitor"( http://www.ebuyer.com/510199-hp-600b-mt-desktop-monitor-d5s03ea-abu ) .. for just £359 you get a decent pc with a ivybridge Pentium G2020T .. and 4gb of ram and a 500gb hard drive
theres intel HD graphics however this can be upgraded at anytime if you find you need more graphics processing power .. a card such as the "PNY Quadro NVS310 "( http://www.ebuyer.com/394231-pny-quadro-nvs310-pci-express-x16-512mb-gddr3-64bit-low-profile-card-vcnvs310dvi-pb ) is relatively inexpensive and would improve the intel onboard solution
granted you could buy a core i7 based pc with 16gb of ram .. however when your buying 15 this would be extremely expensive and the above pc would be more than capable of running java based apps and PHP
at the end of the day its about cost .... obviously you will be borrowing capital to start your business so the less you spend the less you lend and thus any loan is payed earlier and then your business will start to see handsome profits
the above pc is good as it has decent specifications and the included monitor will also keep costs down ..... but if you have monitors already then you may want to check out the "Fujitsu Esprimo E410 SFF Desktop"( http://www.ebuyer.com/509526-fujitsu-esprimo-e410-sff-desktop-vfy-e0410p5511gb ) which is based around a powerful core i5 3330 ... this along with 4gb of ram and a 500gb hard drive is a solid foundation ... and windows 7 Professional is included also along with a windows 8 license ..
finally you may want to look for pc retailers who deal specificly with business customers .. these guys can sell you bulk purchases were you can save money ...... companys such as misco ( http://www.misco.co.uk/ ) are great and have pc,s aimed at new businesses ... worth checking !
I hope this helps pam ...any questions let me know, and good luck with your new business
all the best !

Suggestions for affordable gaming computers?
Q. For anyone with extended knowledge on the subject, I could use some help on what computer has the best bang for it's buck. I'm not a cheap skate, just a college student looking for something that fulfill my gaming needs and schooling needs. I want to be able to play something say like Fallout New Vegas on the higher settings.
