After installing the Lego Harry Potter video game, my computer crashed. Any thoughts?

Q. So I bought the other day Lego Harry Potter video game for the PC and when I loaded up the game to play, my computer crashed. When rebooting it, 3 Blue Lines appeared and then started to flash. So, I rebooted again and it went into Windows fine.

Everything was fine when my Firefox started to crash every so often. (this was the last two days). This morning (July 11th, 2010), I opened Firefox fine and 10 minutes later, started to crash every time I opened it.

So, I decided to uninstall Firefox and run Anti-Virus, Scan for malware, etc and then my computer just simple crashed.

Any ideas? Would it be a Hardware problem? Blame it on the video game? or what?

A. I had a problem like this after buying the game. My computer did not crash but has been running slower and has had a hard time running more the one program at once (windows media player and microsoft word refused to work togther) and the game wouldn't load earlyer that day forcing me to restart. The day before I had run an anti-virus scan and it found nothing. When my step dad looked at my computer he said I had too many programs running at once and shut some down. My computer seams to be working fine but my internet can be a little bit slow, but I'm blaming facebook for that. Haven't retryed the game yet and honstly am a little afraid to, seeing as things did not get bad until the game was first instaled. If there is any way try it on a different computer, chances that the game did cause it is slim but if it did you're going to want to know for future reffrence.

Recomended video card for games this 2010?
Q. my video card screwed up dunno why last time i play is lead and gold and at midnight game hangs so i should restart then i can't open any games so i decided to sleep but in the morning when you 1st boot your computer the words written there was purple i think it's damage and it can't boot your windows as long as the nvidia driver is installed can it still be repaired or i need to buy a new one?
prices?????????
is GeForce 9800 better than GeForce 8500? i mean can 9800 handle most games of 2010 in high end graphics with 1280x1024 pixel?

A. I'd recommend the nVidia GTX260 or better for most games, the GTX275 or 280 for very power-intensive games on high resolutions (1920x1200 or larger)
