Is it safe to upload older computer games onto a new laptop?

Q. I have some old computer games from 8 years ago I used to play on a desktop, but would like to play it again. Is it ok for my new laptop to play them on it?

A. depending on the Operating System (OS) it won't let you run it even in compatibility mode.
if it's designed for XP you should be fine but, 2000 or earlier you may run into trouble playing it but, your in almost ZERO risk of damaging your computer.

if you do run into trouble I can probably help you get it playable anyway but, only way to find out is to install it and find out

How to play computer games without the disc?
Q. I have a Windows Vista desktop in my basement, that is used for a lot of computer games. But last week, I bought myself a netbook, that does not hase a CD/DVD drive. I already own games like Zoo Tycoon2 Sims2 and Roller Coaster Tycoon3, which i would like to play on my netbook, so i can take the games with me. Is there any way to do this legally, without having to download a bunch of different softwares?

A. Since i have roller coaster tycoon as well I know its annoying that you need a CD drive to play it. I don't really know of any legal way to do this.

I wish I could help you more because I know you just want to find a way to play the games you bought on this new computer, but you should not be following any advice to download files from torrent sites.

People sharing full or cracked versions of software this way is always illegal. When sites tell you they are legal they're talking about only themselves - the activity YOU do by downloading pirated or hacked software is still illegal. These sites commonly spread viruses and spyware so there is never a safe way to use them.
