Is it possible to hook a PS3 Gaming system up to a computer monitor?

Q. Is it possible to hook a PS3 Gaming system up to a computer monitor?

A. Yes, that is if your monitor has a DVI/HDMI port.
Or you can hook it up to a TV card and connect it to your monitor.

What's a good monitor for both computer and video games?
Q. I would like to get a flat screen monitor that can be used as a computer monitor AND to be able to play PS3 video games on. Any good suggestions? Thanks a lot!

A. You didn't mention whether your preference is for a CRT flat screen or an LCD flat screen. I am basing my suggestion here for an LCD flat screen monitor though. Since most of the time you will be using this as your gaming platform, you should be considering two specs that can define your gaming experience, and that is 1) response time and 2) luminance rating.

1) The faster the response time an LCD has, the better in eliminating ghosting so get an LCD flat screen with at least 8ms or less response time

2) Get the highest candela or luminance rating you can get. This should give you an LCD with the best color rendition plus your display will not be too murky.

For CRT monitor, get the lowest DPI specs or .22dpi or lower would be best.

Of course, those specs will be for naught if you have a low-end graphics card. Get a mid-priced one with at least 128MB VRAM and a 128-bit rating.
