What is the reason behind 3D TV flickering?

Q. I have a 3d TV, It works very fine while playing 2d content and in 3d it starts flickering. Explain please.

A. My cousin had the same issue. He advised me not to buy 3d tv because of flickering, but I searched on my own and I found out about LGs flicker-free Cinema 3D TVs. I looked into this the LM7600 and read a lot of positive reviews. I bought this tv earlier this year and never experienced flickering at all. In fact I always play 3d games on my tv now instead of on my computer. Flickering arises due to shutter system in active 3d and since the LG Cinema 3D uses passive technology, the is no flickering

Anyone know how to properly set 3D on your Tv for gaming?
Q. I just bought a 3D LG Tv that came with two glasses... (Non-battery) like the ones u get from 3D movies.. Anyway I was trying to play black ops 2 but wasn't sure how to use the function on my TV.
Someone told me xbox cannot do this.
I don't agree because why would they give the game 3D capability of Xbox can't do it. Anyway when I enable 3D on black ops it just messes with the red and makes it blurry ish even with glasses. Is there something I am doing wrong anyone know how to properly set 3D!

A. There are three kinds of 3D for most TVs:
--anaglyph or red/blue lines and red/blue filters on glasses. This is the cheapest form of 3D show.
--alternate frame TV display (left eye frame, then right eye frame) at 60 or 120Hz, and glasses that have LCD shutters with a wire or wireless link to the TV.
--there is one more type for movie theaters--left/right polarized projectors and movie frames.
From your description, you have an LG 3D TV that comes with polarized glasses. That is for the third type ONLY.
http://www.3dtested.com/3d-xbox-360-games-list/ has a list of games in 3D for Xbox360 and Call of Duty: Black Ops is on it (10/25/12)
http://www.callofduty.com/blackops/3d says:
"1. WHICH PLATFORMS SUPPORT CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS IN 3D?
Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC only.
2. DO I NEED TO BUY A SPECIAL VERSION OF THE GAME IN ORDER TO PLAY IN 3D?
No. The Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops are capable of displaying the game in active-shutter stereoscopic 3D.
3. HOW DO I TURN ON 3D?
For consoles, toggling between traditional and 3D is performed through the Options Screen accessed directly from the Main Menu. On PCs where Nvidia 3D Vision™ is detected, 3D display is automatic, but users have the option of disabling 3D.
4. DO I NEED A SPECIAL TELEVISION OR COMPUTER MONITOR TO PLAY THE GAME IN 3D?
Yes. Call of Duty: Black Ops can output 3D signals for televisions that implement an active-shutter stereoscopic 3D technology. Xbox 360 users need a television that supports a “side by side” 3D mode.
NOTE: Call of Duty: Black Ops is not compatible with other 3D technologies and/or modes such as anaglyph, polarized, ChromaDepth, or ColorCode 3D technologies. Active shutter televisions that support only a “checkerboard” 3D mode are also not compatible."

My opinion is either you have the wrong game or the wrong 3D type of TV. Good luck!
