Q. I'm looking to get a new laptop for college. I was wanting to get the most for under 600$ if possible. I will be using it only for surfing the web and doing documents and projects for school. I don't play any computer games, but my friend has been trying to talk me into one so maybe a little bit for that. I was looking at Sony Vaios but people either love those or hate em. And don't suggest a Mac. Had one, not going back lol pc only please.

You cannot build a good gaming computer but you can make an average graphics computer which supports every game.
Just search over these parts:
2GB DDR2
250GB HDD
Intel 3.0GHz processor Dual core or Intel 2.66Ghz Core 2 Duo
Nvidia 8600GT
also try to search nvidia sli ready motherboard, it will be beneficial
