How to make my own gaming computer?

Q. So I am into PC gaming with games like league of legends and am looking to make a gaming computer that will be top of the range as I am willing to spend 600-1000 pounds on it!

I need some help as I've never done this before and don't know what parts to buy, just tell me the best parts to buy that are in my price range and you'll be getting 5 stars! Thankyou so much guys, I really appreciate it!

How much does it cost me to build my gaming desktop?
Q. So I heard that building your own desktop computer is more beneficial in terms of performance, to the computer, than actually buying a pre-built one. Anyway, I was wondering what type of gaming computer do I get to have/build if I'm on a budget of a maximum of $1k.. Is it good? Like, I want it to mainly run a couple of games nice & easy. League of Legends for example is one of these games. I want to run it full graphics & resolution. Does my budget of a gaming pc allow me to do that? + can you suggest me some great specs that go with that budget? Thanks :)

A. 1k is more than enough. I built 2 for $800 each for my g/f's cousins which can play pretty much anything out there. They can even play Final Fantasy XIV on max settings (look up the gameplay for the game and requirements).

I go to newegg.com and get my parts there. The most important thing is to make sure the parts work with each other. For example if the motherboard you are getting is Micro ATX, you need to make sure the computer case has Micro ATX as one of the formats it can hold, otherwise the holes/screws won't line up. Same goes for the RAM, Processor, Video Card.....you need to make sure their sockets are supported with the motherboard. If the Video Card says it needs a PCI express you need to make sure that slot is available on the motherboard or it won't fit.

I'd recommend going with 3.0+ ghz for the processor, 8gb RAM, 1TB harddrive (500gb is ok too). I personally use Radeon video cards, but Nvidia is another popular one people like. Video Cards are the most expensive most of the time. I just bought a Radeon HD 7870 I think for $250? I forget. lol But, my previous Radeon HD 5850 was good enough to play anything. If you can splurge on the video card go for it...if not....do what I did for those 2 PC's I built....bought a used Radeon HD 5850 for $80 on ebay. People try to recover a little of their money when they upgrade to a newer video card, but that doesn't mean the one they're selling is no good. Some people just like to have top of the line all the time. :)

If you're "new" to building your PC here's what I recommend....

Go to cyberpowerpc.com and custom build your own PC. It'll make sure you only select parts that work with one another. When you have the specs you want write those parts down and go to newegg to bring them up and see how much cheaper it would cost if you put them together yourself. Cyberpowerpc has good prices. I buy from them when I don't want to built it myself.

Don't forget you also need to buy Windows 7 (windows 8 suuuucks) when you build your own PC. Just look up on ebay Windows 7 OEM. OEM is basically bulk orders of windows 7. They're just the CD and the registration code (minus the box and minus $100+ if you bought it at the store).

I'd also recommend a powersupply of at least 700watts.
