What is the best Notebook computer on the market atm in Australia?

Q. I'm looking to get a notebook computer for school between about 1,000 1,300 dollars. I don't take any art subjects, but i need a computer for just basic school work, with a web cam to stay in-contact with family and just a overall well working model with good size memory for music and pictures. Could some please help me out???

A. Well, if it's just for basic schoolwork (I'm guessing taking notes for the most part), you don't need something top-of-the-line. Unless you plan on playing new games on it, you won't be doing anything intensive with it. So look for something cheap and sturdy with a decent warranty and battery life.

So, with that out of the way, Lenovo ThinkPads are good 'serious', sturdy, work-a-day student/business laptops.

I don't know about good Australian places to buy laptops, but this doesn't look too bad http://laptop.com.au/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/15/products_id/492

Edit: Not sure, but the r61 line should come with webcams. At least on some models. Double check!

What is the difference between a netbook and a notebook?
Q. What is the difference between a netbook computer and a notebook computer? I am looking for a laptop mainly for music and school use, not so much gaming. Is it worth it for me to just get a netbook? Or should I get a notebook?

A. netbook is for simple task like working on my MS Office, play music or browsing online. so not powerful to run good graphics. it doesnt have a CD/DVD drive

Notebook is like a home computer but portable
