What is a good type of computer for gaming?

Q. i was hoping for a computer for Christmas, but if im not specific, ill end up with a Commodore 64 or something. Im looking for a computer that is good for gaming and typing(for school-work, then ill be able to justify it). i play both online games and normal computer games, so preferably good for both. also, it has to be desktop.

A. Why don't you decide and assemble a desktop? I'm sure it can be done.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo/ Intel Core i3/i5
Hard Disk: 320 GB - 500 GB (your wish)
RAM: You'll be playing games so therefore at 3-4GB RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia is good, but again decide on the models as per your cost. Min 512mb max 1gb
USB Ports; Min. 4 ports Have a E-sata one as well

Also have an HDMI port, incase you want to connect your cpu to your lcd/hd tv with HDMI port, so you can connect both an use it big screen. :D

If not then go for 17" - 22" LCD screen

Q. I originally have a mac but i have had it for years and it is super slow! I'm looking to buy a new desktop computer that goes really fast, that can handle online games, that is really good for school work, and that has a lot of memory. But it has to be under at least $600. Any suggestions? Thanks! =)

A. go best buy or any loco store with good price, (sells rep will answer and help)

ask for RAM memory 2 or more
